Actually I will try to drive around Huntington more because I may drive there to 110 and circle back on the 10 to put miles on my car.

Sedan_Clan I have no idea lol. I was trying to find out what those CF vent pieces on the wheel arcs would cost. They couldn't find the price of it even though I have the part #. It is weird.

You can let me drive it and it will be ready for your first inspection tomorrow lol. Is it at 1200 , 2000 miles or more?

I was mega conflicted yesterday after finding this:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/20441866927...mis&media=COPY

I kept asking myself, “Should I cancel my order with Byers Porsche, buy this example for $2,000 less, and just have it repaired?” I went back & forth and decided to just proceed with the order through the dealership. While I could’ve saved significant money, I didn’t want to hassle with trying to have a shop disassemble and match paint, etc. Had that listing existed before I placed my order, I probably would have gambled.

I'm not sure either actually. Fixing it could end up costing you roughly the same, I just never thought of going through all of that. Fixing a matte finish can be difficult.

Buy OEM when you can. Save a lot of headache. You might save a few bucks but it will look right.

Well it is OEM, just used rather than new.

edit:

I posted the deck lid in my modification thread on RennList and one of them already purchased it.

I expected you to see more of these things tbh.

Also signing is done, going to my detailer tomorrow. Tried to post some photos but couldn’t for some reason.

I’ve seen a few driving around, but not nearly as many as I expected given the hype. I saw a trailer with 5 CyberTrucks on it yesterday.

Are you excited to get your car?

Yeah, right now I'm in an area with TONS of pickup EVs, I probably see 10 Rivian R1Ts, 5 R1Ss, and 20 lightnings a day. Even seen a few GMs

Yes also some Teslas, but not a ton any more and ZERO CTs.

I thought there'd be more too. Sounds like it drives awesome, but is pretty useless otherwise. I've heard of one guy selling his purely because of the wiper: apparently it won't sit flush on the left side and leaves a gap which wiggles a bit and drove him nuts so it's going. I've heard of other stuff like that.

But yeah no EVs for me yet, still doing the SUV thing including in rentals.

Sixt tried to stick us with various BMW EVs as apparently they're not getting much return on them, but that's just rumored from the lot guy.

My biggest coup was getting a diesel G05 X5:

Drove from Zurich to Amsterdam in 10 hours and still had fuel in the tank!

Yeah, it does feel like mine but I won't get to really drive it yet until another week as it is being enclosed trailer tomorrow to my detailer. He'll work his stuff on it, clean things up and then I'll get to drive it.

Gonna talk to a photographer that works with Porsche DTLA and see. I have something in mind to do.

Almost lol. He said he will double 10mm front wheel arc and maybe back wheel arc also.

I realized after picking up my car, in some sort of coincidence, Arctic Grey comes closer to my old F80 M3 Grigio Medio color than Nardo Grey. Guess it is just meant to be.

Here is a random G82 M4 they got yesterday.

AG is definitely closer to GM. Nardo doesn’t have the blue-ish undertones that AG or GM have. It’s a great color. If Arctic had been available at the time I ordered my 992, it would’ve been a really, really tough choice to make in deciding between Arctic and Chalk.

The weird thing is I only noticed it yesterday and immediately when my uncle saw my car he pointed out so I guess I’m kind of blind.

You were just focused on the dazzles and stars flickering as the car rolled off the transport.
