I know you must feel so fortunate to actually have your car considering the debacle currently going on with Porsches imported cars sitting at ports with no ETA’s to the prospective owners in sight.

I believe the lift for the stoppage is going to be in April but again this also affects Audi, VW and Bentley too. I am going to assume Lambo is in the mix too since Urus is effectively Cayenne Coupe.

But yeah, they are only selling 718s and Macans right now and with how little 718s are actually out there, its almost just completely Macans and what is left on the lot that dealerships have to sell.

I wouldn't have minded all that much if I needed to wait but, definitely be obnoxious. I can imagine the amount of Cayenne's just... waiting lol

I ran into a small dilemma. I wasn’t aware that the badge came pre-attached on the decklid, so now I’m faced with either running it as is (…which I don’t really want to do), or risk damaging the decklid trying to remove it. I definitely don’t want to be running around with people thinking I’m trying to be a fake GT3, but I love this decklid. It was a very simple 5 minute swap; the connector plugged right in. Advice on how I should proceed?

random thoughts. in case you did not already get a lecture on how to use the door pulls. you actually "pull" them forward, towards the front of the car, in order to exit the car. please be sure to train your passengers appropriately without removing their head. got my lecture on the pulls when picking up my gt4. was an awkward but humbling experience, dealing with the last guy before you drive the car off. car is looking good! that is the right color too. looks clean when dirty! looks clean when clean!

edit: I see we posted at the same time. keep the deck because its sick. try to get a diagram. maybe you can replace the oval section where is reads "gt3 touring"

if that piece doesn't pop out i guess you could mask off everything and throw a similar flat black plastidip over the chrome lettering. would still be there but much less noticeable.

a 3d print shop might be able to make a thin inverse piece that fits over the gt3 lettering and shows 'C2S' instead.

Thanks for the heads up on the door pulls. I’ll be tackling that mod tomorrow morning. I’m going to drop the spare “GT3 Touring” badge off to be 3D printed on Wednesday, so we shall see what Andrew comes up with to cover it.

Should I do “3.0” or something else?

I would take it to a body shop to have them sand it down and finished. But... GD that lip on the rear 300 classic is fucking sick!!!!

Black inner barrel makes the face and lip pop in real life. Glad you didn't go with black rims that hide all the details. Very unique looking 300 classics for sure!

Having one made is easy, but I found out the hard way today that trying to get the attached one off will mar the decklid. So now I’m considering a 3D printed cap/cover.

I can’t wait to install the TECHART ducktail.

Could you get it off by only marring that little rectangle? If so, could it be refinished or painted gloss black or even chalk...or maybe black with chalk "911" painted on it?
