I believe that there was a change made to the VTS after MY 2022 or 2023. I was never able to get mine to work. First, you will need the dealer to enable your account with a code entered in PIWIS then create an account with Vodaphone. This is a different process for other cars like 992 or your Macan

Yeah I think the old cars are a bit different. I’ll reach out and ask. Never bothered before so, have to figure it out this time.

These tri-state dealerships can't get me a 718 GTS/GT4 without asking for the ADM bullsht. Any luck on the other side?

That is going to be next to impossible.

First and foremost, 718 GT4 is out of production so any cars that is on sale for used will be with ADM. You will not avoid it, unless the car is in bad condition.

For whatever reason, there are next to no GTS 4.0 Cayman allocations right now, I have checked recently for my own reasons and even the top 3 dealers in the nation have only 1 so far with no others given out. There haven't been any answers to this. Because of that reason, dealers will mark it up too and the GTS 4.0 has had markup regardless.

No one likes it, I get it. Believe me but it is how all of the dealers work. Dealers have barely any NA 718s to go around right now, so anyone of them will be with some markup. The markups has gone down from its high a few months ago due to market conditions but do not expect them to be at MSRP because that probably won't happen unless you are so well connected with a dealer they are willing to take a loss.

I got sidetracked and have decided to finish off the last few pieces of the dash that I didn’t have leather wrapped from the factory when I ordered my car. I’m going to order both the Exclusive Option dash end trim pieces and the OEM Porsche upper dash/Sport Chrono trim piece wrapped in black leather with Chalk deviated stitching (…all from Suncoast). I might circle back to the OEM Alcântara pieces from the GT3 RS.

I haven’t heard anything conclusive back from IND’s upholstery shop, so I reached out to Exclusive Option about wrapping my GT3 RS door trim pieces in black leather. I’ve seen their work on RennList and it is impressive. Suncoast sells their stuff too.

I realized something, unlike my GT4, I can’t power fold my mirror. The button on the door is gone.

The drone at around 4k with exhaust valves open, on the freeway is significant. I actually have a small headache from it, I didn't expect this.

yeah that engine is basically sharing the cabin with you. can you close the valves ? or do they auto open at 4k? GT3 with valves open + sharkwerks is 'manageable' for a 2 hour trip to the dealer. i definitely wouldn't wanna drive longer than that though.

I knew about the drone talk before but I hardly had issues before, even with my GT4 I never felt the drone was a problem.

This was different, I had to press the button to close the exhaust valves on the freeway so the noise would go away. If i am to drive with the exhaust open on the freeway, I would need my air pods pro 2 in my ears to at least suppress most of the noise. It was only above 4k to about 5k RPM is when this happened. Since I haven't gone past 5k yet with exhaust button pressed I don't know if it will continue after 5k. Guess I will find out lol.

The drive with exhaust closed was perfectly fine. Exhaust open was the problem, woo that drone.

Also had people already trailing me and looking while driving home. The blind spot at 5 and 7 is not cool either lol.

Still totally enjoyed it though

Is it bad enough that you won’t open the valves when you drive going forward?
