D) only when something is wrong.

PTF told me the adaptations also clear whenever you flash.

Most common reason to reset...you've been on Stage 2 and now install a new open intake (MAF moves, flow%s change a little, IAT+).

I've got all of my maps in "My Maps" and I am ready to go.

I guess I would be uploading/flashing all of my maps to the car...

That was the first demo when they did map switching and they did it differently, much nicer with steering wheel buttons. Their last demo was mid December some time on flex fuel. For me car’s in storage its either snowing or icy no rush here.
