Here are the Bimmercode settings I currently run. I don't know if these are the exact stock settings, but this sounds closest to what I hear in the online videos. Most of these values were set like this when I first read them back from my car, I only had to change the Model Range and Engine which were set to something else.

Full ASD
Model Range > F80 (0x15)
Engine > S55B30 (0x0A)
Audio Level > Top Hifi/Branded Top Hifi (0x03)
Power Class > ML (0x02)
Competition Paket > Yes (0x01)
Country Variant > US (0x01)
Construction Stage > later or equal 07/15 (0x06)
Gear Shifting Sound > No (0x00)

[B]"ASD lite". (edit - removed this, not sure if these settings work)

ASD off
Model Range > F10
Engine > S63

disclaimer - I have only tried this on F80 M3 CS. Haven't seen any issues changing these settings so far, but experiment at your own risk! Later on I'll do a video recording the in car sound from the different options.

AA Single MP to Remus muffler, stock cats, factory tune. Perfect for me - low deep rumble and screams in a good way when desired. Not as raspy as other setups I've heard. Doesn't take the character of the s55 away either.

Anyone know about these? CTS Turbo lowering springs for F80 $215

About to buy emd spring but came across these for significantly less. Says it drops the car a lot more than emd’s.. not sure if that’ll be too low.. is CTS Turbo reputable

Anyone stupid enough to try figure out an OEM CA retrofit on a CS with me?

I'm looking through the wiring diagrams for CA, and it looks like other than door handles and external antennas + trunk antenna, we'd just have to run some wires to the FEM and do some coding? I don't see an additional module specifically for CA, and everything I've read seems to suggest that CA is controlled by FEM for this car. Quickly browsing through the FDL options for my FEM, it looks like there's an option to turn on CA, which from what I've gathered suggests that the FEM is CA capable? (been looking at f3x CA retrofits to get an idea)

Seems like:
- install all the antennas
- install the door handles
- run wires for each of the antenna back to FEM or REM depending on which
- VO or FDL code CA back in (?)

If one or more antennas are non functional, I believe the entire CA system would stop working. But if everything works, that should be it? There is an antenna underneath where the rear vents would go, but that antenna also looks like it's being used for the normal entry system? Even if I do have to find a way to mount it there, that's not a big deal. The last part that I'm not sure about is the key. I've read things that suggest CA keys are different, but I'm not sure if that applies for the CS as well or not.

Almost the perfect car, I just wanna stop fumbling through my bag to get my keys everytime. I really miss comfort access lol.

Ahhh, if the CS had CA, it would pretty much be perfect for me, haha.

I looked in to this a few years back and it didn't seem worth it to me/cost effective. You can use the app to unlock, but I know it's not nearly the same. If you happen to get this all under 1k, prob not including paint and labor, I'm down to do it as well.

I thought I read somewhere that the lack of center arm rest was an issue for comfort access. The CA module is installed there in the regular f80 or something like that

That was guessing on someone's part. The FEM is located in the passenger side wall of the foot well.

The interior antennas (3) should already be in the car since it senses the key already. There are 3 exterior sensing antennas that would need to be added (one in each front door, one in rear area).

I always though one of the interior antennas lives in the rear AC vent compartment which doesn't exist on the GTS console. I'll have to double check later on ISTA for a repair protocol but the antenna PN is 65209220832.

RealOEM shows 4 that exist but lists 3 as the quantity, so there's some confusion there. https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=65_2364.

Definitely missing vent on the driver side. Look at the left and right side. Also attached a pic of what it should have.

Most likely front end damage. Lip was replaced with knockoff. They didn’t even bother or forgot to replace the side vent. God knows what other damage there was.
I feel like I saw this car in boca when I was looking to by my cs

Been a while since I was on this thread but glad to see its still going strong. Still loving my limerock m4cs, while I will get new cars in the future this one is not going anywhere

That being said, I have been planning on doing some preventative mods, upgrading plastic parts etc. I a few things done already like full ppf, charge pipes, mossleman thermostat, fall line oil cooler guard.

I also have the gintani crank hub sitting at home... just haven't had a chance to install it yet. Probably not necessary but was going to throw in a kies crank seal guard, and crank bolt capture to basically bullet proof the area. Just not sure if they will all fit so if anyone knows would love to verify.

The f8x engine is pretty solid as is but would love to hear any additional suggestions for upgrades that I can add in while we tear things apart for the crank hub. Trying to do a full refresh during that job since its pretty invasive.

Clip your fob to your belt loop and save your money, time, and aggravation. It’s not that big of deal. What I miss is side traffic detection.

Thinking 18” all around might help that rub without having to change ride height. Can you get away with 18x 10.5 without camber plates? Does the front need spacers no matter what? Thanks
I run Apex 18's F/R on track, but not square. You are going to need spacers with 10.5 up front. Might be able to get away without camber.

I have a custom M4 CS badge from iND in mint green, but thought others might like a much cheaper OEM setup in red. Has anybody run this on their car yet? Just don't use the "L" and you're good to go.

My iND badge still looks great after a year or so, but if it starts peeling or whatever I'll probably just go with one of these.

I did even more digging into comfort access retrofit, and I came across these two posts on facebook. They're from a shop in HK that retrofitted OEM CA into a F20 120i. I compared the component diagram between the F20 and the F80, and they look pretty much identical.

the tl;dr from those posts is that assuming our FEM supports it, the only thing we need is the door handle, door harness, antenna and wiring. They did not mention anything about the trunk "kick" antennas. However, they did kinda talk about the two interior antennas. Given that we have "half" of comfort access, I'm believe that we either have the second antenna or we are fine without it.

I priced out the two door harnesses, two outside antennas, one trunk antenna with the bracket, and it comes out to a little over $400 for new OEM parts. Only thing left would be the corresponding plugs for the antennas, wiring, and door handles + paint.

Without the pucks your rear will sit lower, and the ride is a little stiffer. I didn't install my pucks either. I have no rubbing issues or bottoming out.

Congrats and welcome to the club! Beautiful car. The CCBs really pop on the LRG. I have an LRG without the CCBs. 17k miles. Love every second of daily driving it.
