I was at Mosport (CTMP) on Thursday and had a blast! The track is very intimidating with it being high speed with a bunch of blind corners. I spent hours on Iracing to get familiar with it.
I had a friend coach me, which helped a lot. My goal was a 1.35, but by the end of the day was able to get down to a 1.32. Absolut blast! There is a sub 30 in there, just need to get my braking points and some cleaner lines. A lot of it is being a bitch lol. Sadly I did not set up to smarty cam properly so the video we all crap. This was due to me scrambling to get the car ready after finding the mouse had chewed through the wires. |

Sorry for the lack of updates, things have been a bit busy.
went out for another fun track day at Shannonville, found out that there was at least 2 more wires that have been chewed after some more faults showed up. Ordered some PS4s tires for street driving, also installed some GT4 brake ducts, they required some trimming due to the rotors being thicker than what these were meant for, or maybe they have the rotor sitting out slightly more. planning on 3 events in Sept and a final 2 day event in Oct back at CTMP (Mosport). |

Slow and steady on the updates, back is acting up so I wasn't able to make it out to the last event. I have another event coming up this weekend and I am planning to make it.
The other day I swapped out the CSF heat exchanger for the PWR version. Someone snapped a nice picture of my car. New set of RE71's have arrived, need to mount those before the weekend. |

I only have 2 items for the rear from Fall Line, the Lower Coilover Camber Arm's are not available from SPL and I didn't want adjustable tension arms. I have the SPL adjustable toe arms and the upper arms in the rear.

Very very cool build. I am doing something very very similar to my M4cs! Tractive, SPL, AP Racing, etc. Moving the parts from my M2cs to the F82 I just picked up. Same color too!
Glad others are also using their CS's for what they are designed for! |

I finished up another Time attack event, while I did reach my goal, it was very sloppy and lots of room for improvement. But I had fun!
I finally installed the rear upper SPL arms to add some more camber in the back. This weekend I am heading back to Mosport GP, but the weather outlook looks wet, so it may not get me to a PB, but should be fun nonetheless. |

I hit Mosport GP on saturday, it took me all morning it get back into the groove. I kept going out right at the beginning of the session which was packed with cars and always had me throwing laps away and I just wasn't feeling motivated for the first bit. But I was able to get down to my goal of sub 1.30, I hit a 1.29.5 with a fuel cut around turn 4 which really messed up my flow.
Here is the video, still lots to clean up and learn, always out for fun and hitting a PB. Here is a video of what not to do during a lapping day That is probably it for the season, well it is lol, because I need to order brake pads. |

What hardware are you using to capture steering angle? I have been looking for a device that talks to BMW's CAN and captures this channel!
Appreciate all the vids and pics! I can't wait to get mine out next year (I bought it recently). |

Thanks, I am using a AIM Solo DL connected to the Canbus, and the video is from the Aim Smarty cam.

Thank you! Going to look into the AIM now. I know it's a popular product, so worth looking into.
I've been using HP Tuners TrackAddict app receiving CAN signal wirelessly from an OBDLink MX+ and a QStarz GPS transmitter, but steering angle is the one data signal I cannot get from this setup. |

You need to be getting the full Can protocol. The one coming from the OBD doesn't gain access to all the data in the car. But tapping into it on the right side of the car allows you to access it all.
There are a few write ups and I think 1 video that I saw while researching it. |

Ahhhh, that makes sense. I might be able to set that Up with my current configuration then. I am racking up the winter projects and glad for it, because otherwise I go nuts off season!

season end
Thanks a wrap for 2023 for this car, being put away next week and will bring it out again after the snow is gone. I am still collecting some parts and still have a hand full of parts to install for next season.
The car was amazing to drive and very enjoyable, especially coming from a fully built time attack STI. I almost feel like a young man again buying their first car haha not that I am super old lol. next season will be filled with more track time and less time spend doing "upgrades". thanks for following this season, can't wait to share the new parts with you all next season. |

Excellent build. Where did you order the PWR heat exchanger from? All I can find is their radiator and both side auxiliary coolers. I dont see their intercooler heat exchanger offered anywhere. |

Are you still liking the GTMore aero after a season with it? I am in Edmonton so not sure how much worse the roads are here vs Kingston...similar use...track days and occasional fun drive.
I am installing the gtmore suspension over the winter along with a single turbo build and have been thinking about the aero... |
