PCV warranty
I just got a letter form BMW that they are extending the warranty for PCV to 15y or 150k miles.
It’s for my 440i I wonder if I’ll get a similar letter for the CS? |

This would be awesome if it comes to the F8x. I now have the symptoms and planned to DIY a new valve cover soon.

Regardless of actual cause of failure, it would be easy to deny any emissions system warranty claim with if a tune is detected. |

I contacted BMW of North America this morning via their number 800-831-1117 and was prompted immediately by a voice recording for the PCV recall and to check my VIN online at bmwusa.com/recall
Apparently it shows there are 0 open recalls for my vehicle Has anyone else tried? Hxngs |

snakes1021 is your 440i an LCI with the B58? I am guessing this is specific to that engine...

Thank you. I just called BMW of NA but the guy said he was having trouble finding the correct documentation. I personally have not received this letter yet, but I don’t see why mine wouldn’t be covered as it’s a problem among all S55 vehicles.
He then forwarded me to bmw-rp.com which is an Owner Reimbursement Program. My vin was entered there and shows “your vehicle is not involved in any of these programs” He said my next step would be to take the extended warranty PCV letter to my dealership which had done the service and figure it out with them. I had contacted them first and they told me to reach out to BMW of NA (which I just did) As I don’t actually have the letter in hand I can’t go to my dealership yet. I’m hoping I get one in the mail soon though If the dealership could not help he said to call them back to further see my options Would you be able to check your VIN on there (bmw-rp.com) to see if you are getting the same message? Also, would you be able to send the entire letter you received? Obviously redacting personal information wherever necessary Thanks Hxngs |

Yes, for the 440 (B58) only; the site matches...my S55 did not and is not eligible which is consistent with what I am seeing in other posts around the topic.
