ASD keeps turning itself back on?

Hey folks

I’m new here and quite confused haha. I’ve been following guides for coding and turning ASD off and have coded ASD vehicle = F006 or F022, and the the engine to the V8 variant, and then on the head unit coded “ASD disable =Active”.

In this case it seems to get quieter but does not go away completely. Then after 5-10 minutes it goes back to full volume.

Today I followed some online instructions to unplug the ASD module completely (below left tail light).

Afterwards I turned on the car and drove and found to my amazement that it still sounds like it’s active! I’m confused now as to whether it’s possible the Amp can still generate the sounds without the ASD module present?!

Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

Thanks

Are you driving in Sport or Sport+? The car is naturally loud in Sport and Sport+. Especially in the low RPMs around 2000, it's loud WITH ASD OFF. In sport/Sport+ I believe the valves are open at low RPM and close at a higher RPM -- Yes, it gets quieter as you rev higher. For Efficient Mode, the valves are closed at low RPM and open at a higher RPM.

In efficient mode, it will be quiet throughout the revs until about 4000-5000 RPM where it will start screeching like a lawn mower with the valves open.
