Any wheel suggestions for the F82 in Mineral Grey?

Hey guys I recently picked up a M4 in mineral grey and was looking into going for some new rims. I really would like the Apex VS-5RS in satin black but don’t know how those would look. But I’m open to suggestions so please share pics or your opinions.

I'm not one for all black wheels as a general rule, but I have to say that I was intrigued when I came across a post here on the forums where a member had his OEM 437M wheels powdercoated satin black and installed on his Mineral Grey F80. Along with the black accents and window trim on the ZCP, and contrasting the blue brake calipers and machined brake rotor faces, the satin black really works!

I have a mineral gray f80 w/ VS5RS in 20" satin black. Overall I think looks good if I were to do it again I would choose motorsport gold or maybe even bronze instead.

VRS5S spokes in 20" are very thin, and the satin black finish makes the wheel sort of disappear when viewed from the side on MG because theres not enough contrast w/ black and MG. Not saying black wheels on MG doesnt work. I saw an F80 w/ satin black Volks which look awesome and I loved the looks of 437ms on my car. But the spoke design is much thicker on those wheels and light bounces off it a different way so you can clearly see the wheel.

Also another thing about VS5RS wheels is that their "aggressive street" fitment offsets is not that aggressive in 11" and 9.5" width with the recommended tire sizes.

When a wheel is all black it depends a lot on how it looks behind the wheel if it works or not. Personally i like to have some details on the wheels and also a good looking brake setup that lights up behind the wheels.
I have done different things like a grey outline on the rim, M performance logos and titanium bolts for example to brake it off a bit.
My latest wheels is designed by myself but they are both anodised black, grey carbon and grey logos together with titanium stud and nut kit.

I found mineral gray hard to match a color to.

I really wanted something other than silver but silver with dark accents look best (shadowline 666M as example).

I ended up going bronze VS5RS and it looks great IMO. Motorsport gold I felt was too bright and blingy for me but may suit some. The bronze is a bit more muted and tends to suit the color better IMO

BC RS31 in brushed black. I don’t like black on Mineral Grey. Too dark.

Matte black is the nicest black tint on MG..
I like them very much, the m666 looks more classy but the M763 have the more serious performance, look.

I found the above post, not black but gives you a color option. Personally, I think the lighter wheel color on your car would draw attention to the wheels due to the color contrast. However, like I have always, this is your car, mod it how YOU like it.
Whatever you go with please post pictures

Since nobody else had bronze wheel pics for MG when I posted mine, figured I'll post some here.

These are darkish garage pics -> rear wheel look brighter in photo than in person. Front wheel is closer but honestly too dark, kind of in-between to my eye.

I'll see if I can get some pics out in the sun sometime this week.

I really liked my vs5rs' in satin bronze. Pics are in my build thread in the pics section. I also have the bimmerworld wheels in anthracite and I think they look really sharp too

This is definitely not MGM because it is non-metallic. License plate reads Telesto.

No worries. Do you have a dark brushed clear finish on MGM? That might be a good compromise between a light wheel and a black wheel?

I think it would look great on MGM. Even with BSM, you get a nice color contrast and you get to see all wheel details which usually get lost on most black wheels on dark colored cars.

I have HRE R101LW in dark brushed clear on Moonshine Metallic and I absolutely love it! I’d place a pic but this thread is about MGM and wheel finish options.

I think the dark brushed tinted finishes look the best on MGM cars. There's a few pics in one of the wheel or MGM threads with them and they look really good!

If I didn't want to go the apex route (for weight) I probably would've gone this route. I wish vendors offered a brush, bronze tinted wheel though, that would be sick!

Our GT4 wheelset, which actually draws inspiration from the wheel used on the GT4 circuit (not the 763m consumer variant) weighs in as follows:

19x9.5 et22 (22.1 lbs)
20x11 et44 (23.8 lbs)
20x11 et38 (23.9 lbs)
