F80 with Misha on the Nürburgring.

Looks like Misha took a lightly modified: tires, Front AP Big Brake Kit, light tune out for a ride.

I agree. With a few mods, nothing crazy, its a fantastic platform.

Cheers!

Still don't understand why he doesn't use the trans in mode 3. Also The oil temp has its own gage.

Because drive logic 2 is smoother shifts, smoother = faster. DL 3 is artificially too aggressive and overkill but to each their own.

Also I hear that 3 has a higher clamping force and overheats the clutch pack less. Better quicker downshifts and better gear selection when needed.

Quicker downshifts that also upsets the rear more as the shifts are more aggressive and violent.

Would love to hear Misha’s explanation on his preference though as he would know a lot more than us.

Quicker as in earlier. As an instructor its seamless IMO I don't feel them more violent, just smoother. The difference between say 1/2/3 and manual heel toe is no contest. No one is that smooth.

Used to love that on my earlier F8x but on my 2020 mode 3 is still creamy smooth, a bit too smooth actually.
