Hey guys,

In a bit of a unique position, I’m planning on getting some 19” custom wheels made for the f80 - I can opt to go any offset/width I want.

I’ve looked through the forum but can’t find any definitive solution.

Some details:
-I am aiming for something similar to the apex- vs5rs or the LM01 style.
- car will be a street/track build around -2-3 deg camber on the fronts with GC camber plates.
- I have KW HAS and would prefer to NOT need to run a spacer (just modify the offset)
- looking for a staggered 19” setup (19x10 and 19x11 if possible for a flush look with no rubbing) but will go with whatever sizes work.

Would love some advice for anybody that have been down this path or knows something more !

I’m running HRE R101LW front 19x9.5et22 with 265/35 or 275/35 and rear 19x11et42 with 305/30. You could run 19x10et25 front with 275/35 but, depending on your suspension, you may need to run 3-5 mm spacers to clear the strut/spring. Also, you could run a slightly more aggressive rear wheel offset 11et37-40.

Yes ! I was hoping to run something without a spacer since I can choose any offset. Just not 100% sure about what that offset should be for say a 10 inch front without rolling fenders

You will find this to be the most common suggestion for a nice flush staggered fitment.

19x9.5 +20
19x11 +40

I'm running 265/30/19 in the front and 305/30/19 in the rear. In hind sight, I would go with a 35 in the front if I had to do it again.

I am lowered on Bilstein B16 not quite at the lowest height.

Here are some pics of my car for reference.

This looks exactly what I’m after tbh! Now I’m curious, Does a et20 9.5 clear kw HAS? And how hard is it to fit a 10” up front

Common 10” wide front wheel is 19x10et25 with 275/35. However, wheel/tire and strut/spring clearance can be an issue depending on the suspension you’re running. A 5 mm spacer is needed in cases where clearance issues exist. Also, the front fenders are aluminum with a minimal edge/lip along the fender wheel openings. The most common front wheel is 9.5et22. A 10et25 backspacing sticks 0.39” farther into the wheel well than the 9.5et22 does. This 0.39” difference is what potentially causes a clearance issue.

A 9.5et22 should clear the KW HAS.

Awesome, thanks heaps for that guys.

I’m thinking of running a 19x11 et40 on the rear for a flush look with -2.5 camber

Now I’m just wondering if a 19x10 ET20 will fit on the front and clear the KW HAS.

I know a 19x10 will clear with a 5mm spacer

Hi.

I had my own wheels made but in 20". I went for the stock wheel dimensions as i wanted light wheels and tires and keep the look close to stock comp but with an extra touch.
I have offsets of 17mm up front and 30 at the rear which gives a very flush fitment.

It’s possible to find forged wheels with increased width compared to stock and save considerable weight. My 19” HRE R101LW in front 9.5et22 and rear 11et42 weigh 16.7 lbm and 17.3 lbm, respectively. They’re considerably lighter than the 18” 513M stock wheels my car came with as well as the 19” 437M.

18" 513M
front 9et29 = 19.6 lbm (-2.9 lbm savings)
rear 10et40 = 20.8 lbm (-3.5 lbm savings)

19" 437M
front 9et29 = 22.9 lbm (-6.2 lbm savings)
rear 10et40 = 23.4 lbm (-6.1 lbm savings)

Yes, that is correct. My friend had the same wheels as you have. As i paid about the same money for my one-off carbon/ billet wheels i went for that as i wanted something unique and that looked more like a 666 wheel but in a two-piece version. My design is not the lightest but that's what i wanted. I could have gone to the lighter spoke design like you have but i wanted the 666 style.

So are your aftermarket 666M style wheels made by Richland Forged? IIRC, they’re are 1/2” wider front and rear than the stock 666M, correct? I can’t imagine the level of cleaning required on the form/aftermarket 666M compared to the oem 513M!

The R101LW with lightweight track tires makes a significant difference in unsprung mass (including Essex/AP Racing brake kits) that you feel the difference over bumps, in braking zones and handling as well as improved street manners/ride quality.
