If you listen carefully, he says 4.3 6MT and 4.1 DCT to 62mph

Which are the official quoted 0-100km/h (62mph=100km/h)

4.1 6MT and 3.9 DCT are the US official 0-60mph.

Also, 431ps = 425hp

Has anyone posted this 4 min vid of b role of the coupe going around a track. Lots of exhaust sound and over steer Its an automatic so there's a lot of exhaust farts, Would like a similar vid with a stick car, which hopefully doesn't have the farts.

Have not seen this posted before! By far the best videos I have seen of these cars! Awesome find.


Love the sound of the S55 so far. High revving inline 6 is pretty easy to fall in love with. Not impressed with the exhaust note. I'm not sure we can blame the video anymore since obviously this is no cell phone video. Expectations lowered.

Nice video, I wish it sounded better. Being this is a somewhat professional video of the car, the sound this new M car makes is "ok" only, and a little lacking (a bit too 'farty'), but nothing an aftermarket exhaust couldn't fix I would think.

True, but let's face it, the (American cat in exhaust manifold) e46 M3 sounded really strange, in a cool, yet cheapish and totally bizarre way. The euro manifold sounded way better and of course there were all kinds of great exhausts that made it sound great. The real story in the sound was the intake growl.

Even the e90 had a bit of restricted "ffffftttt" and slight whistle at w.o.t. as witnessed at any hpde. A simple primary cat delete resolves that.... and there's so many great rear sections for the e90 M3 I would be entertained for life when I finally buy one (No car payment is so sweet and allows me to justify track time/tires/brakes).

I think with the F80, once people start getting rid of the secondary cats, and golf tee mod the thing, it will sound awesome. In the vids I posted I heard a faint "WWHHHOOOOSSSHHHH" of a big turbo car, so maybe catless headers will be the way to get a really great sound.

Time will tell. It's an amazing car. Great weight for what it is, big brakes, awesome looks. Imagine if the F30/80 had the same overall length/width of the e90. This bitch would weigh 3200.

Regarding the B-roll footage, while the videos were filmed with high end cameras and equipment, it's very apparent that they didn't pay much attention to audio acquisition. It almost sounds like reference audio to replace later. Trust me, when they release a different video with full sound, it'll sound much much better!

You got to listen to him again. He said 0-62 (which is 0-100km) is 4.3 for manual and 4.1 for DCT(dual clutch). 0-60 is 4.1 and 3.9 for DCT(dual clutch.)
