[F80] Official BLACK SAPPHIRE F80 M3 Sedan Thread

I m now biased but I went back and forth on several color options. I looked at them on pictures, videos and in person. BSM was next to last on my list but I ended up going with it. IMO it is the best (or next to) color for F80. it is aggressive and mean and yet stylish and classy. I really love it.

My thoughts exactly. But the lure of a nice clean, sleek, black sports car is making me consider BSM.

Have any of you owners found success in any of the modern ceramic coatings that would at least minimize the fine hairline scratches and swirls?

They certainly do help, especially when applied properly. The silver metallic flake in the paint also helps hide imperfections to a certain degree. It's orders of magnitude better than the non-metallic jet black.

It's so weird I had an Alpine White booked with San Merinoschwarz Black interior and I went back to the showroom to collect some document. They moved some Black Sapphire Metallic with Sakhir Orange to the showroom and I couldn't help but think how special the combination is. The car looks absolutely sleek and feels very unique.

I cancelled the Alpine White and took the above car straight away. I really hope I did the right thing. Can't wait to collect it in 2 weeks! Oh and yes the M3 price here is USD$250k in Singapore. No kidding!!!

You will love it. I didn't intend to get back either but I can never stop looking at this beautiful car -- dirty or clean it still looks amazing. I literally just drove 3,500 miles cross country and still think it looks so good.

Yes at first I thought it was the white one of that looked really nice. But the black one actually seemed to make the car much more complete with the contrast. If there was not a black one I saw, I would have stuck to white. But I'm glad I saw the black cause it seems much more exotic!

Congrats... you made the right choice!

I too changed my order from Mineral White to BSM and know it was the right choice for me. I'm waiting on a '17 M3 with the same colour combo.
