Ok guys... I have the info you ALL have been dying for...

Summer wheels

- 9x18 (ET29) +10x18 (ET40), Style 513M

- 9x19 (ET29) +10x19 (ET40), Style 437M

Winter wheels

- 8,5x18 (ET27) +9x18 (ET29), Style 640M

- 9x19 (ET27) +9x19 (ET29), Style 641M

So i guess we can forget about using E9X M3 wheels without spacers.

I'm surprised these offsets are so high? Were E9x M offsets the same?
I was expecting something like 10" with an ET of 25-30mm.

M3 offsets were all ET29/ET23 I think. As I was expecting there is a big difference.

Will I be able to swap my ZCP wheels on the M4 and vice versa? I told my SA I want to keep my ZCP's for the M4 and they can have the M4 rims to put on my E92 when I trade. Are the lug patterns the same?

It doesn't say anything about the lug pattern. I run 15/12mm spacers on my ZCP's so it basically makes them same offsets as the M4's

Spacers?

A positive offset is measured from the centerline of the wheel toward the outside of the wheel. So, the larger the number, the further *inward* the wheel sits.

Let's compare to the style 359M from the E9x competition package, since they are the same size wheel as the 437M on the F8x.

Front: 9x19 ET31
Rear: 10x19 ET25

So then, the front 359M sits just 2mm further inward than the 437M, and the rear wheel sits *15mm further outward* than the 437M. Spacers are definitely not going to help here. What we need is extra clearance from the fender lip. We'll see if that works out once someone bolts them up. I'd say there is a chance it will work, but it may need to be rolled. Of course, the other issue is that it will not have the same flushness as the front, which rolling the rear could alleviate. Or you could put a 15mm spacer in front, which is probably not a good idea.

The OEM ZCP wheels vs F8x wheels are

19x9 ET 31 vs 19x9 ET 29 - -2mm for F8x
19x10 ET 25 vs 19x10 ET 40 - +15mm for F8x

I should have been clearer, I don't like using spacers, so oem to oem, you cannot swap them. With spacers, sure why not.

yes, you can swap them. its just the rear will be more aggressive than stock and the front will be basically the same fitment as the f8x stock rims.

it can certainly be done.

if your point is that the offsets aren't identical between the two cars, yes that is correct. but they definitely will fit and probably will be popular with a front spacer. the good thing is that the offsets allow for a large spacer which typically fits much better and more flush on the hub. 15mm spacers are ideal in my experience. depends on fender clearance, but I bet it will fit.

Read carefully, you appear to still be confused.

Spacers will not be necessary to get offsets that meet or exceed OEM specifications.

I'm looking for an aggressive setup, but in your opinion:

Would 19x8.5 ET15 (front) and 19x9.5 ET22 (rear) wheels be flush?

first of all, I wouldn't recommend a narrower wheel like that, its important to have wider wheels that support the sidewalls fully. BMW engineers in slightly stretched wheels/tires which IMO help decrease body roll and aid in steering sharpness. so I would highly recommend at least a 9/10 inch width, especially with a 255/275 tire.

that said, here are the results.

fronts will be 8mm more aggressive than stock (should definitely fit and be noticeably more aggressive, but not overly aggressive.

rears will be 12mm more aggressive than stock, and look about right.

again, I wouldn't recommend narrower wheels, but it can be done and it will fit.

its hard to say what the most aggressive fitment is, because we don't know how much more offset the car can take and still fit in the fenders. it also depends on if you will lower your car etc....

I am new to this, I have an 18 inch wheel setup for winter on my e92 M3. Will I be able to keep these wheels? Are spacers necessary or not? I'm not looking for deep answers, I'm a medical guy so keep it simple!! LOL

need widths and offsets to answer your question

use the calculator I provided in my prior post and plug in your wheels and the OEM bmw winter wheel data provided in the OP in this thread.
