Two tons?
I love verts but good Lord thats still heavy. It looked awkward in the spy shots. The final product is amazing though. Top down it beats the F80 and F82. Top up it still hangs with them. |

Wow, beautiful. Might have to come back to a vert in a few years.
Hands down the coolest, most sophisticated yet menacing F8x design.

^^^ Doesn't that look like the old CIC navigation screen? Photoshop error? Also, this is our best look at a non-CG photo of Full SO leather interior on a F8x car |

Maybe they designed the M4 as a vert first and the coupe was after the fact?

Not Mineral Gray
that doesn't look like Mineral Grey, looks more like an individual color either gray black or sparkling graphite IMO.

It definitely is Mineral Grey. MG is quite dark - it's a fantastic colour but I'm not biased!

Just imagine this car after LCI refresh in a individual colour, and some aftermarket grills, spoilers and such.
Guess I didn't need the extended warranty on my E93 after all. |

I have owned 4 M3 convertible in a row (3 E46 M3 Convertibles and my current 13 E93 Convertible) and I have to say that every angle of the F83 M3 blows previous versions away. I was planning on getting MG and this sealed the deal, at least when it comes to exterior.
BUT, given that I actually care (a LOT) how the car drives, I'm still disappointed by the lack of weight reduction. My E46 M3 Convertible was 3,800 lbs w/SMG (I believe). How many generations of M3 convertibles is it going to take for them to get back to 2001 weight!?! Here's to hoping that the wider stance and 100 lbs less weight makes this feel a LOT more nimble than the current E93 M3 (I'm not optimistic). Perhaps the extra torque will help a little as well. I'm reserving my true judgment until I see the car in-person and drive it. But I'm still blown away by how good this looks for a convertible, especially in MG... Good job BMW - hopefully it will drive even better than the E93 M3! |

I've got a 2011 e93 that I was planning to replace with my allocation for a 2015 Boxster GTS ... the timing here is now the exact same ... I was all ready to leave BMW .... There goes that. If they can do an Euro delivery in sept I think I'm sold. |

In the left corner, weighing in at 2980 lbs we have a Precision Instrument, in the right corner, weighing in at a 3990 lbs, we have a ... actually, we don't yet know what we have, other than that it looks good in manufacturer's photos. I'll reserve judgement until Dan Neil and Chris Harris get their hands on one... |
