My SA gave me a free pair. They are in my glove box. I wore them for about 2 minutes driving and felt like a complete tool. Now I just use them when its cold outside not for driving lol.

Only reason I have considered it is because I have noticed wear on the steering wheel of my current F30 (F80 on order) where my left hand usually sits. And it's only done 20k miles.

...and that's the main reason why I began wearing them in the first place. When you see enough cars with oil soaked and worn steering wheels, you start to realize how the sweat and oils affect the leather. Gloves also help preserve the alcantara steering wheels.

Might consider some for longer drives - not to the shop and back. But may also invest in some better quality leather cleaner/conditioner and apply that to the steering wheel to keep it in better shape. |

I got them as a gift for my bday couple years ago. They're kinda banged up now... And everybody on the forum makes fun of me for wearing them
They help maintain the leather on the steering wheel though

LMAO my bad i worded that wrong hahaha. I meant to say i wear gloves when i drive my cars or my girlfriend's new 335i. I wear them especially on my e92 with the performance suede steering wheel. Makes a difference man. Suede steering wheel still looks new! So it will allow me to sell it for a good price haha.

True dat. I competed in strongman for 8 years and it's nearly impossible to wear gloves and be strong. You have to sack up, be a man, and let the callouses build up on the hands.

I agree completely where the gym is concerned. Gloves in the gym are for weenies (..just like the bitch pad used around the bar in the squat rack because "people can't deal with the weight on their traps "), and they compromise your grip. Get some chalk/liquid chalk and call it a day.
