M4 CS with salvage title, yay or nay?

I saw a 2019 F82 CS with a little under 5k miles being offered for
71k but with a salvage title. Seems to have every option except CCB. Is it worth it? Also apparently it received a salvage title because bmw
Bought the vehicle back because it had a faulty fuel system and replaced it.

I wouldn't take it, people were leasing CS's for super cheap.

Buying one at 70k with salvage is meh

No way. Minimum 20% hit in value for salvage title vehicle.

salvage title car are very hard to sell ..... and dealership offer on them in a trade in will make you cry....

you absolutely must have a very good price to get in one and think that you'll keep it for yourself for many many years

Yep, I think they just moved it in the last 48 hours. It was up for a pretty long time, about ten days I think (that's long for such a great price I'd say!). It popped up almost immediately after I bought another M4, or I might have gone out to get it (price and options were so nice I might have given up a 6MT for the first time in my life. It even had CCBs!). Here was the car, maybe call to see if they still have it as I know sometimes they take cars off the website and they pop back up days later.

They wanted $69,999 if I remember correctly.

At that price you're nearly at the price for a clean title low mileage used one.

As far as I know, a salvage title is a car that has been significantly damaged.

https://www.edmunds.com/car-buying/w...e-vehicle.html

The car/problem they are describing is a manufacturer buyback (also not a great thing but not as bad as a salvage title). I don't believe manufacturer buybacks are titled as salvage.

As noted, that price is what a normal CS would go for, and you will be lucky to get 1/2 of that price on a sale the minute you buy that car.

Run away. Fast.

Imagine trying to explain that story to the next potential buyer... It will never sell without a huge loss.

Too much for a "Lemon". However there are always suckers out there who will buy it. The good thing about a Lemon is it usually comes with the remainder of the warranty which you'll need.

$71K, that's what I'd pay for a salvage 458

Figure 40-50% reduction in price for the title

All identically equipped with the CCB's the lone exception. Wouldn't touch it at that price, they're discounted close to 30% new.

When the CS hits right around $60K (hopefully) I will snatch a blue one.

You think they’ll hit that low? Especially considering production had ceased on them.
