Finally aftermarket led m4 lights
So this month finally the aftermarket of the bmw m4 lights will be realised the only thing I don't get is I've spoke to the person snd they said it will come with the wiring loom but it won't need coding in my bmw m4 2015??? Could that be true?
I thought no matter what if you don't have led lights now you can't just put some in and they will work without any coding involved Sorry I'm new to all this coding and stuff been researching it all the past week I didn't even know it was all possible all this haha |

Like the F80 versions I'm sure they'll include two adapters which fix the pinout changes between LCI/PreLCI - they also included resistors I believe to get around the cold warm checks.. this was the main reason why coding is required for the LCI taillight retrofit as the OEM units don't have hardware in place to bypass those checks, with that said though if you have access to coding the checks out then it's probably best to do so.
I was shown another listing earlier on aliexpress but they were selling for £1000 far too expensive for aftermarket LED units in my eyes. Had they actually been OLED then it would be a steal haha

These however make me laugh.. I know only a select few have been given around 15 units to sell but reselling at £1600 is ridiculous for aftermarket LED lights https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/233996403777

For what it's worth there's group buy going down on the facebook group for around £475.. I'm a bit 50/50 though as no one has reviewed them lol.
The startup animation isn't also smooth on these.. it lights up like 2 sections at a time REALLY slowly, they kind look like they have lag lol

I personally don't get why manufacturers feel the need to do x2 passes with the sweep/light up animation.. the first pass looks great to me, however doing the stuttered/slow pass for a second time kind of ruins it for me. I guess I'll await a V2 or some kind in hopes they change the light up animation

The sets that are being sold are all sample models. If you want them, go for it. But they have issues. Here is my correspondence with the manufacturer.

An update on the sellers who are changing the light up animation - this is the demo I was given: https://streamable.com/pmkxav
This seller has fixed the slow animation
