Brake pads maintainance

I am currently in need of changing my brake pads on my 2017 M4 Comp. Was wondering if you all had any suggestions for budget friendly pads? Front and rear.

+1 just installed Akebonos from FCPEuro. Rock Auto is a little cheaper if they have then in stock.

This is true but I'm not familiar with the process. How do you get replacements m. Do you have to return the original purchased ones first? That's a lot of down time for the car if your have to wait on shipping 2 ways.

You buy a part/fluid/etc for the first time from FCP. Once it's time to replace it because it's worn, broken, whatever, you:

you buy the parts/fluids again (from FCP, of course),
replace it,
send the old parts/fluids back,
get reimbursed the amount of that last purchase.

Only detail, you pay shipping when sending the parts/fluids back.
I know there are ways to avoid paying return shipment but I don't know how it works.

When you buy from FCP use PayPal and same for your subsequent sets. PayPal offers return shipping reimbursement up to $30 and up to 12x a year.

Will be using FCP for maintenance items going forward.

I've spent so much money on trying different brake pads for this car.

Akebono ranks last in performance, but first in clean wheels.

I would consider using the DS2500 now that they are on FCP Euro.

I've gotten more into aggressive canyon driving now that my car has been pretty much dialed in suspension wise (SPL arms all around) and on flex fuel.

I've glazed all my previous pads and and now I'm on semi-metallic race pads.

These are the pads I have experience with in terms of overall braking performance (hot and cold):

Race pads >>>> Stoptech Sport >>> Porterfield R4S >> Powerstop Z71 > Akebono Euro

The DS2500 seem like they would fit between the Stoptech Sport and the R4S in terms of performance.
