Autocouture in fairlawn, NJ seems well reviewed. I stopped by there the other day, and they seem to have an impressive operation. If I go this route, I will likely use them for this.

All suggestions seem like reputable shops. Anyone personally had their work done there, and if so what was the pricing?

I asked Keith (owner of the Stance Shop).

He said:

4K Installed
Insane performance 4 pin 1 piece
1 day turnaround.

I personally have not done my crank hub anywhere.

$3750 at AutoCouture installed- they use the Gintani solution. I'll be looking to get it done this summer, but I'm sure a bunch of people on this forum have got it done through them.

Got mine done with Doug at JRSPERFORMANCE in 2020. He is a BMW Master technician and has a beautiful shop in his home where he does this side work. When I dropped my car off he must've had 30+ old crank hubs lined up on a shop bench. I paid $2400 all in, I only brought my car and the crankhub. I got my hub new from IP for $700.

Almost 2 years and 15k mikes, lots of track days no issues.

That's by far and away the best deal in the tri-state, at least that I've heard of.

Prices have gone up since 2020 unfortunately though. So at current rates if the labor is still the same your looking at around 3400 with the Insane hub. Not bad at all.

Are most people getting the crank hub done, or just the capture, or both?!

I feel like most of the cost is in the labor, so why not get the CH done and not just the capture? Pls correct me if I'm wrong

I had just the capture done and spun my crank hub casually driving at 30 miles an hour with the DCT in softest setting and in auto. That's why I'd go CH instead of or with the capture. The capture alone did nothing for me (yes the bolt was checked/re-torqued before putting on the capture).

Currently getting the CH done @ M autowerks in Congers, NY. They've been great so far. I'll share my full experience with them when I get my car back.

Yes expensive for sure, I also reached out to auto couture motoring in jersey and that was 3750 out the door with the gintani machined 1 piece

Not sure just yet, the car died while cruising at 30 mph. It was definitely a result of the CH but not positive if there's any other damage so he didn't want to give me a price until he knew.

The gintani crank hub should be there today and he's supposed to start on it tomorrow. I plan on swinging through tomorrow or Thursday and if its just the CH i should have a price to update you with.
