My Warranty Expires in a Month!!!!
My Question is: I purchased my car 2-3 weeks ago and my Warranty expires around Oct 22nd this year (2021). Can i take it in to get some service done before the warranty expires? and if so what do you recommend i take it on for before it expires??
Yes I have been reading up on the forum about Extended Warranties. Lot of good info. BTW if anyone has any personal experience with Premiere (Silver Protection) plan can they share. 2018 M4 (Competition Pkg / Executive Pkg) - 18,700 miles Thanks |

You'll only get the free service when the car tells you to bring it in. For peace of mind, it might be worth it to take the car to a local independent for a through inspection to see if there are warranty issues that need addressing. Don't waste your money doing this inspection through the dealership. Their inspection is very cursory.

Take the skid plate off and look up directly at the front turbo (can’t miss it) - if there is oil leaking then have the dealer replace the turbo/air intake gasket. It’s doable on your own but kind of a pain in the ass.

You can ask for an end of warranty inspection. They found and replaced under warranty a small leak in the aux radiator when they did mine.

Hey Thanks a lot guys. Ill definitely be taking iut in for that end of warranty inspection to see what they say. I hope they dnt try to hit me with no surprise charges lol. Also ill look into that and see if theres a leak from the fwd turbo as well but i guess thats something thgey would catch in that end of warranty inspection anyway im guessing.

Get the BMW program and you can't go wrong with extended warranty.

Some dealers won’t tell you the truth on what needs to be fixed Bc they will make more money when things break after the warranty is up. Do some research and see if you can find an independent shop in yiur area that can give the car a look over. If not get yourself an extended warranty IF YOU DO NOT PLAN ON MODDING /TUNING YOUR CAR. I’ve seen people buy a 5k warranty just to be cancelled after seeing some mods.

Is that the Oil Change pgm? And are there any requirements that need to be met before I can get the BMW Program?? For instance if my car did not meet all the reuired maintanance intervals checks does it still qualify for the BMW Program?? I think the carfax showed it missed the 12,000 mile check up or something. Im doing a lil research on it. And also can you recommend a good extended warranty?? I do plan mods in the future (couple years) maybe a tune or map nothing too crazy. Ive been reading that theses dnt necessarily void a warranty. Thanks |

Or call the dealer and the there is a strange noise or van system acting wired. do that do they can accept the car. Then have them do a inspection and ask for warranty service if anything wrong.

I asked about the oil service pgm as well and the guy said i didnt qualify for it because the previous owners name was still on the warranty or something. Thanks for the input. |

If you haven't already purchased your aftermarket warranty, then I highly advise shopping around to random dealers (on my last f82 I bought my warranty from a Toyota dealership). You'd be surprised what kind of different offers you'll see.
