F80 M3 - Austin Yellow owners

Any AY owners here? Looking for my next car but specific about the combination.

I’ve seen three interior colours on this: black, red, silverstone.

Any other combinations that you’ve seen?

I’ve got a 2017 F80 M3 AY, with the ultimate package - all options (competition, premium, executive, full black merino leather, etc), except for CF brakes.

I had the competition wheels powder coated black which I think looks a lot better given that black trimmings.

Another AY owner with black interior here. I've only seen black and Sakhir Orange ("red") in person on an AY F8X. SO interior gives me too much of a McDonalds color vibe

I've seen 4 other AY cars at local meets and we all have black interior. Come to think of it... I don't think I've ever seen AY with non-black interior

I have a AY 2015 f80 with the sakhir interior and I love it. Not for everyone but man it looks so good.

The black interior look a little bland IMO.

Original owner . Not planning to sell it. Getting so many thumbs up even after 6 years.

Shakir Orange interior is best available on the F80 IMO. Had mine on a 17 ZCP Mineral Gray, loved it and so did everyone else. Saw it on a AY M4 once and it looked great.

Black leather or carbon structure is a solid and classic look but SO really pops. Silverstone looks good but only if you are ready to maintain it and keep it clean.

I almost bought a 18 M3 LSB with SO interior but timing wasn't right, ended up with LSB over Black six months later. The Black is timeless and is the best "match" on AY or LSB like a shirt and pants combo, but SO really adds some tasty spice to the mix.

TLDR - get black unless you want that SO sizzle

I had AY with black and loved it. I saw another AY with Silverstone. I thought it looked great too. Kind of like a bumblebee and a banana.
