How Are Wheel Studs Measured?

Hey guys,
I broke a wheel stud off in my hub, luckily was able to retrieve it. I have been running these studs for a couple of years, so a good time to replace them. Can't remember where I bought them, but will likely get the same lengths. Are they measured from end to end, or from where the end of the stud to the point it enters the rotor/hub assembly?

Thanks

Everyone seems to measure them differently. Best way is to contact the company you're interested in.
