I'm keeping it stock for exactly that reason... if I was going to spend $150k I would be getting a 991 GT3 RS....

Larger turbos, bigger injectors, bigger fuel pump. New clutch plates. Maybe pistons and other internals too. Easy to go $200k lol.

100% - Maybe a small tweak mod, but after that if I was spending a significant amount more I'd just buy a different car.

The M4 is a relatively practical daily driver a GT3 is not.

Totally agree! It's an incredible value all the way up to $75/80k. Beyond that, the ROI begins to look silly really quick. It's an entirely different bracket when you're swimming with $100k cars.

Understood, but this scenario makes me think of the the 5000 dollar Honda accord with rims, a boomin system, and a wing. Totaling 5000 more dollars.

Yeh my car was 77 MSRP but I got like 5k off total. I wish I would have left off exec, adaptive, full leather, and 19s from the start. Full leather would be the only thing I missed now that I have aftermarket wheels and KW.

I have seen people spend close to $100,000 on heavily modded Hondas. Some people would not be happy with a Ferrari or a McLaren simply because else built it.

Also when you get into the world of tuner cars you may be dealing with very wealthy people's who own many cars and $150,000 for an M4 is not a significant expenditure for them.

I do have to say these modded F8x cars are very cool and awesome lookers. Not what I would do but that is what is great about the USA - you can do as you want.
