I like a foot long inch wide strip of aluminum foil rolled up or folded, then wrapped around that one pipe to be squished by the flange. It stops rattle.

The permanent fix is to ask an exhaust shop to weld a few decent beads from pipe to flange (while installed), not just a tack or two, and don't need the whole thing either.
Like the cooking aluminum foil? Lol

Yes, cooking foil. If you've ever seen a new turbo or down pipe gasket it's basically compressed foil tape.

We do not sell catless downpipes, but it's always a pleasure dealing with them. As a vendor, it's a massive plus for me when I know the manufacturer stands behind their product, and I can count on them to make it right for my customers.

Update: New dps still rattling. The updated dp flange just sits in tighter and not as loose. Rattling has gone down only slightly… just spent another $200 for installation

Just pay any fab shop $20 to weld it. It'll take 30 seconds. I've had mine welded for 8k miles now and not a single rattle.

My set just showed up. I'll have that flange welded @ initial install.

Tired of dealing with rattles/rasp on this platform.

What ?
ARM's updated resonated downpipes are still rattling ?
What the heck ARM !!!!!!!!
I though they resolved this issue but i guess not. I just ordered a set last week. Looks like i will be tack welding the flange in place to prevent rattle as i am definitely not taking these off to mail back (pain in ass)....

Did you contact ARM to tell them it’s still rattling?

Mine is still okay. It’s welded and it’s not rattling. Raspiness is much reduced, and maybe 90% of the rotten egg smell in enclosed spaces is gone.

Yes they asked for a video which i sent but you cant hear it much on video. Its much louder in person.

They also asked how I know its coming from the dp and I told them it started right when I had the stock dps replaced the first time

My ARM DPs are rattling even after being tack welded. I think you need to weld all the way around the flange for it not to rattle.

Maybe one of your tack welds cracked? Maybe stitch weld it all around.

Maybe… but I have AA catted downpipes going on next week so I will be selling my ARM downpipes shortly thereafter.

It will be much easier for the next person to weld it fully before installing.

You're making me consider just having that flange welded on entirely.

Yes they said they wanna send another revised set to make sure I got the right one. I appreciate that however I already spent $500+ to install these twice and dont wanna spend another $250 for something that may or may not work

I am fairly certain that I found the cause of the rattle even with the welded flange. The welds were fine in my case but the rattle persisted.

I took off the ARM downpipes and started hitting it and noticed a rattle. Turns out there is a lip on the inner portion of the shorter downpipe that is rattling against the flex section.

It looks like a fundamental design issue (or just a flaw in my unit) and the only solution may be to weld the inside of the downpipe.

Maybe this has been fixed in subsequent revisions but this is something you should check before installing. Just tap each downpipe and check for rattles before putting them on.

Yup that's what I did.

I immediately heard metal on metal contact.
