Diff Seals Replacement

Hi guys

Car had minor diff oil leakage spotted at MOT and im getting this sorted on Friday...

Its one side, and quite common apparently. Looking at 580 quid for new seals on both sides and oils (2 bottles). At a specialist non BMW garage...anyone had this before and ball park about right for the job??

Two bottles? The diff only take 1L of oil?

Thats what i thought...will ask on the day. He said it was literally just over 1 bottle when he quoted me. So ordering 2???

I’ve had my car up on a ramp yesterday and noticed the same issue too, so clearly it is quite common. However I’ve heard from people that indys will charge around £300 to swap out the seal. I’m shopping around as my local “specialist” has no clue how to do it...

All done. 2 of the 3 seals and oil...549 pounds. Dropped me to work and dropped car off after it was done. Cant fault G-Tech Motorworks Derby for their service.
