I see this message every morning, but if you don't want to see this discharge message, just pull your dashcam power plug when your vehicle is parked overnight. You won't see the battery discharge sign in the morning.

As for the comfort access issue, can you try using different fuses perhaps? Also, how did you route your coaxial cable? Signals from coaxial cable might be interfering with your comfort access feature.

2 channel system is quite complicated and coaxial cable plays a very big role. Some of poorly designed 2 channel dashcam will block your GPS and radio signals. With that being said, BlackVue's coaxial cable is well designed and has proven to be solid. I hope this helps!
I tried the fuses 100 and 161 for the +BATT, and both cases the Comfort Access died after overnight parking... The cable doesn't seem to be interfering with it, because when I only park about an hour or so, the Comfort Access still works.
I'll continue to testing with Power Magic Pro timer with shorter hour setting, like 6 hours.

FYI, Nick posted a good video about the BlackVue DR-500, DR-600GW, and a Lukas Blackbox LK-7900.

No doubt a great product.. but pretty damn useless if it doesn't play ball with the magic pro and ability to record when the car is parked.

That's one of the key features to have. I'm gonna delay my purchase until a solution is available.

Update on my test journey...
With fuses: 161 for +BATT, 162 for +ACC
Setting Power Magic Pro to shut-off after 6 hours worked better, but still not perfect.

- No battery drainage alert came up. Yay!
- Comfort Access worked only for the doors. (i.e. Kick-the-trunk-to-open didn't work.)

The radar detector DIYs I've seen all use a cord that ends in a phone-plug that all the radar detectors use. How do we convert that into something that works with the dashcams such as the 0803?

Those with rear dashcam setups, how are you powering the cams? Seems terrible to have something trailing from the rear cigarette lighter, so I hope there's another option.

No problem... I used a MultiSafer tapping 161/162 fuses as per the advice I got in here...

I'm getting warning messages and comfort access sometimes doesn't work, so I'll probably go for a different solution. I'll update this thread when I get around to installing it!

Once you have tapped power you feed it into a 5v converter harness with a usb connection on the end and then plug the usb into the camera.

Easy

I'm taking the delivery of my car today. I'll see how I can install the cams.

Just got my Blackvue DR650GW and magic pro installed the other day. They wired the Magic Pro to the cigarette lighter in the glove and the blackvue directly to the battery. This morning I got the battery discharge warning, kick to open trunk stopped working, but comfort access still worked.

I won't be fitting this until an idea solution is available..

Dash cam turns on automatically when you start the engine and turns off automatically when you turn off the engine. No battery drain at all. Plus the Mini0803 has its own internal battery anyway.

Here is a sample video, Watch it in HD (Youtube degrades the video, it looks even better on my computer)

Also caught the tech at my BMW dealership joy riding my car during my 1200 mile service.

Hey -

I'm new here and get my car next Wednesday. I think I just ordered the same one (correct one hopefully) from Amazon. I hope I can ask you a few questions.

1) Ordered the 32gb, do you happen to have the same size, if so, how long does it take to fill that card up?

2) Any pic's by chance on how exactly you tapped into the power from the mirror?

3) Do I need to buy anything additional to have the same setup as yourself?

Thanks for any and all your help.

Those with the blackvue 650 do you find the image quality to be pretty shitty? It appears very pixelated and I can't read license plates worth a damn. Did i get a faulty unit?

Does the one that utilizes the front mirror for power cause battery issues?
