I would try turning your phone off then back on. If not try updating software via link below and a USB; this occurred randomly for me as well and updating software worked for me. https://www.bmw.com/en/footer/software-updates.html |

Same for me. Only YouTube doesn’t have audio. I have an aftermarket solution connected and it’ll play through Aux only. Maybe an app thing.
For reference I have iPhone X |

Did anyone find a solution for this? I have an iPhone 7, and it stopped working recently. Spotify all other music apps work except YouTube. My idrive was updated 2 months ago.

Have you guys tried playing music from your playlist and then opening up YouTube? That's how I get the video sound through my speakers.

I’ve been able to get the YouTube app on my iPhone X to work by changing the output from bmw Bluetooth to iPhone, then back to bmw Bluetooth. No idea why, but it’s worked for me

Another fix in the past for these issues is to delete the iPhone from the phones list and then repair the phone with the car. I have had to do this with almost every bmw I have owned with an I drive at least once

Sometimes if I use Spotify then play a song on YouTube, YouTube won’t have audio. So I have to manually shut down Spotify and YouTube. Then only open youtube and the audio will work fine. I have an iPhone X btw. It does with any Bluetooth device...

This is the same thing for me. Can't play audio from anywhere if I use Spotify. Photo/video on native iPhone player included. What gives?? Any fixes for this? Didn't have this issue on my 2014 328i.
