Would love a meet with a bit of a drive as another member already suggested.

Well done to the organiser of this meet.
Yeah myself John and Simon all met from the northwest. Colin mentioned a mini northwest meet up and drive around Glenridding / ullswater which would be great

All good here.

We could meet at the Sportsman inn again, head back to Rheged, round ullswater through glenridding (stopping at Simons coffee shop).

Head up over kirkstone pass to Windermere, round through Ambleside, grassmere and back to Keswick/the sportsman before heading north or south on the M6 home.

Colin,
Have you ever noticed the road that veers off, from the top of the Kirkstone Pass, that takes you to Ambleside ?, i keep looking at it, thinking, i really need to drive down there, looks like its full off curves, turns and switchbacks, not sure on the surface quality though.
The coffee shop in Glenridding would be a good stop.

Yes I have Simon... Is that what's known as "the struggle"?

We used to go down there in the Clio V6's but I can't actually remember what it's like now!

Another great one is Honnister pass, there's a cool slate mine at the top too...

I have a plan John, I'm actually off work next week. So I'll do a "reccy" of the area and try and come up with a good route.

My Clio was very very low on KW V3 and I had no issues so all should be fine, the main thing with the passes are the narrowness, sometimes it's tight with oncoming cars, but they are very enjoyable.

This sounds great and a lot of fun but I will likely have to pass on this one, I am scheduled to be in Holland for Bimmerfest 11th June.
