Loaded it yesterday with Stg3 OTS and a few customization tweaks. Haven't had a chance to really beat on it riding around but hoping to get out and see how it goes this weekend.

So far, the biggest difference I've noticed with the commute to work is the throttle blip in D1 is more noticeable. Before, when in D1 the downshifts were subdued, regardless of throttle setting. So, riding around town in Efficient/Sport/Sport+ throttle and D1 allowed for somewhat of a stealthy roll up to a traffic light.

Now, the throttle blip turns heads similar to how the blips were aggressive in D2/3 with v1.0. It's kind of nice, but also can be annoying when driving through the neighborhood and catching stop signs late at night. In Efficient throttle, it isn't too much of an issue because flaps are closed and it's relatively quiet. Just sounds a bit ridiculous because it gives the feel of someone suddenly revving an electric leaf blower.

Noticed nothing but then again I am on stage 2 not 3. I like how stage 2 is more like an adjustable GTS flash

I tested also last night and i downgraded from stage3 to 2 because of that throttle blips because d1 feels la d2 and i don t like how it sound with flaps closed.

I have no idea! But I'm talking to MANY that experienced the same "hit brick wall" feeling online.

Hi Guys,

Clemens here from xHP.

The "bang" and "free-rev" is a (undocumented) fault code triggered, which turns off one of the 2 part-transmissions. Therefore you are left (mostly) with only every second gear working until restart. It appears as empty code when reading faults with a scanner. (mostly 40D310 no description available) It seems to be related to how the engine tune is setup in combination with current adaptions state of the DCT, but nevertheless it's a safety threshold set too low by us. It did not surface on our 4 test-cars, which had anything from stock to 1000 HP. Sorry for that.

However, we tracked the issue over the weekend in code and there is an update coming this week. We sent out the update for a few users to test and are waiting for feedback. If anyone wants to get the update immediately, please contact us at support@rbttuning.com.

The blips in D1 are related to brake pressure. No blips during normal commute and "normal" braking. So depending on your driving habits they may surface more or less. As the S55 is plagued by low-torque down-low in the rev-band, this makes the car much more responsive, when quickly changing driving-style on country-road or in the city. Stage 2 keeps the stock behavior.

I was just getting ready to type up a request to my tuner after getting these same issues over the weekend. Car pulls hard, then suddenly total drop in power to the point of being thrown forward by momentum. Plus, super loud rush of air that reminded me of blowing a charge pipe. Got a drive train warning, but checked codes and found nothing.

Could get back on it and had power. Cleared codes with BM3 (even though reading codes found no stored DTCs), drivetrain warning went away and car ran like normal... until the next WOT pull.

I managed to get a log of the event happening - includes 3 WOT pulls.

Looks like I'm about to go re-flash with xHP and roll back to v1.

Thanks for the update!

This totally explains what I thought was just a screw-up on my part. Several times during a WOT pull starting from 3rd, I would bang through gears then suddenly trigger the error and have the immediate loss of power with car getting unsettled.
Look down and see the gear selection had shot up to 7th. It was quite puzzling, because I felt very confident that I hadn't shifted gears that many times since WOT pulling into 7th should have us well into the upper triple digits.

Update: ALL Maps are updated to adress the issue(s) mentioned above.

Details why this happened:

They all trace back to a limiter set too low by us. The details are microslip adaptions which allow the DCT to overshoot the max. allowed pressure in certain conditions. The fault code thresholds for monitoring operating pressure had too little margin to accomodate that overshoots. It has to do with current adaptions, oil-temperature and overall clutch condition and is the explanation it did not pop up during our testing. (This does not mean it only affected cars with good or bad clutches, its just that it only happens in certain conditions)

To update your Maps:

Users just need to open the App while being online and xHP will download the new maps. Connect to car, select your Stage and choose the latest version to flash!

Blips are a bit softened as well in D-DL1. (only applies to Stage 3 versions)

And what about the bangs sounds in the gearbox? Because i heared them without any fault code.

It's a temporary code. You just missed it. The "bang" is when the trans shuts down.

Appreciate the update... But quite frankly, version 1.1 should have never been released without much more extensive beta testing. Been a big fan of xHP, but this past weekend has given me some hesitation on jumping on newer releases.
1.1 had me lose my even set of gears this past weekend
