I have an F82 with Adaptive Lights but no other goodies, so I guess I can't do it via coding. Isn't there another thread somewhere about buying a $200 box that gets installed in the trunk to enable this? Is that for people like me without the right camera? I was thinking this was going to be that thread. Lol

I have SLI and Adaptive Lights on a 2018 F83, plus i can see KAFAS in ISTA/D. So, does that mean i should be able to code (if i could get hold of FSC codes) lane change warning, pedestrian warning etc? (Basically all of the driver saftey package that wasnt specced on my pre-built car?).

How would this work when the three/four physical buttons found under the headlight control switch are missing from this vehicle? (or would i need to install that physical module?)

You can retrofit anything by adding the missing pieces, and coding accordingly. You need to add the dash switches for anything you are adding. Lane Departure Warning does not require FSC Code, but Speed Limit Info, Forward Collision Warning, and Pedestrian Detection all require FSC Enabling codes.

So I got the chinese knock-off retrofit box and installed it. Have my Speed Limit Info now! Made a tutorial vid so you can see exactly what's involved. 2015 F82 M4

Very interesting retrofit. So all you need is to buy the SLI adaptor (99$ on eaby) and some coding. I've read that this SLI adapter will take the speed information from the navigation maps information. I think that cars with the camera cannot really read posted signs on the road because sings are not posted everywhere, can be obstructed by other vehicles, trees, etc.

I'm just wondering why the "sign" displayed on the cluster and/or HUD is an European sign and not a north american sign

Can someone confirm if you apply the same coding as in this vid after purchasing the fsc code (if you went that route)

I'm hesitant to remove the cluster as I've seen a few horror posts where dealers have scratched the leather dash

Removing it was super easy, especially now that you see how it works in the video. I didn't purchase any fsc code, only the coding you see in the video.

Correct. Speed info is taken from nav maps info. My car's camera is not the one that can read actual speed limit signs on the road. Euro sign is a known issue with the Chinese eBay SLI adaptor. If you want to pay an extra $100 and splice wires (instead of the snap-in connector included with this one), you can get the north american sign. But I didn't want to go that route.

Other than coding through the Bimmercode App did you also edit the FA and add the SLI (8TH) option?
