As for sound it will probably increase slightly but I've not measured before and after, it's mostly the change of tone. |

Biggest change I've noticed is cleaner overrun and a deeper less raspy sound. I do think going into one pipe might help mask the volume increase and that the overrun being cleaner and more pronounced also plays an effect to trick you, as without burbles or overrun it's maybe 10-15% louder I'd say simply because it's much clearer, but then again I never spend time behind the exhaust. Main objective is that it's not obnoxiously loud and doesn't draw unwanted attention aaaand it doesn't require any coding while making the exhaust just the right volume and sound |

My car is a 2018 F83 ZCP, so it comes factory with the MPE exhaust from what I understand? I've only had my car for about 1 month, so I'm still learning some of the basics. When I was asking about sound level I was referring to whatever my car would be considered with the only aftermarket part being the single midpipe...besides stage 1 BM3.

I think the ZCP actually is a bit livable or mellow tone than MPE and i have MPE. MPE is very aggressive and Raspy and the opposite of sounding good. People always misinterpret good for aggressive but they aren't the same. A disturbed lion sounds aggressive, he doesn't sound good though, as long as you are comfortable with the distinction you can make your choice |

The raspy sound is what I'm trying to get rid of, so I'm leaning towards the VRSF single midpipe with the rest of the exhaust stock. I've just don't want a car that's going to be loud when it's not supposed to be.

They both sound better than the single, which is basically a louder, deeper version on the stock sound. The single does not rasp at all whatsoever, though, so if that's your main concern you can solve that with the single. |

The equal length exhausts are the only ones that make these cars sound like a normal straight six, in my opinion, which is what I wanted. It's more money than I wanted to spend, but it's cheaper than a $4,XXX full exhaust that produces a louder version of the same farting-across-a-rubber-band S55 sound. |

Same engines
I would also have accepted Beretta. Quote:
The only other exhaust I have heard that gets close to normal I6 sound is the Magnaflow, but I hear that it drones quite a bit. It's also pretty loud and costs $3K. If you don't want loud and don't want to spend $3K, and want true inline 6, resonated equal length all day. The single midpipe will remove 100% of the rasp, but the sound will still have the same weird character. |
