Tire Recommendation - Gravel Road
I keep my m4 at my vacation lakehouse where I need to drive down about 2-3 miles of gravel roads each way. These roads are absolutely chewing up my summer pilot sports and its time for some replacement tires - and I wanted to explore other options.
This car isn’t my primary daily driver so when I do take it out, I like to enjoy it. I was hoping you tire experts might recommend a tire setup that allows me to deal with this regular stretch of gravel with minimal degradation of driving performance? Any thoughts? Thanks in advance for taking the time to help me! |

Not an expert but my best guess is a good high performance all season. Conti dws06 plus, Michelin ps a/s, Yokohama adven. There's a bunch and other more knowledgeable will hopefully pop up with other suggestions.

I liked my Conti DWS for all-around use. On an M car you'd be traction limited quite a bit, but good for daily in NY.

All season tires are much better on dirt/gravel than summer. I regularly drive dirt/gravel roads at speed with my F31 and the all seasons let me go 10mph faster. I feel like DWS06 had a bit better grip than the Pilot Sport A/S 3+, but the Michelin all seasons are better on the pavement IMO. The AS4 performs well too.
