Mustangquadcam Great write up and pics! It was nice meeting you at Welt. Too bad we didn't much time to connect. Have you tracked your car yet? Has it left the port?

I haven't. Our dealer has sent me no updates. Have you gotten any details? I assume we're probably on the same boat.

No word yet. I called the BMW ED phone number with my production order # and they told me the car had already been delivered to Kuni of Portland. I contacted my dealer and he said the car hadn't left the port yet.

Wow! I enjoyed every bit of your post. Also, San Marino Blue is my favorite color of all times. What a great choice

Great cars! I will definitely find one at some point. It's hard to find them in decent shape for a good price.

Also, curious to hear your thoughts on the F80 vs the other BMWs you've owned. Everyone has their own opinion, and I'm trying to gather as many as I can before making a decision on the M2, F80, or keeping my e92 M3.

Well done, wouldn't change a thing(well yes, silver wheels )
Somehow I imagine that white e36 with a roll cage and coil overs as somebodies hpde track rate. I love those cars. Awesome write up and pictures. It pisses me off as an American that we are so quick to tear down old buildings, and any attempts to preserve are met with contempt all too often. Currently a few hours away a historic landmark is in the process of being torn down and replaced by a replica (yes, wtf, search chataqua institute). Sorry for the tangent, again congrats and get that car to a cca hpde as soon as possible.

Well done. Sweet, really sweet car.
Question for you: I've always wondered what one does about the car's break-in procedures on the big European Delivery adventure, with all those sweet roads and the Autobahn to tempt one's right foot? Do you follow them? Ignore them?
