When you are in sport plus, you have to be very smooth with the throttle, because the DME is quickly and aggressively trying to hit your torque target.

My car was stuttering and jerking back and forth under hard acceleration.
Turns out my top mounted charge cooler was leaking internally and letting coolant go into the engine but in your case, if it only happens in sport plus mode then it might not be anything to do with this and could just be your foot itself going on and off the throttle ever so slightly without you realising during the acceleration and with the extremely sensitive throttle pedal map on sport plus, its making the car stutter. |

I noticed the same after I purchased a used M4, after reviewing tons of threads of this topic in the forum I have solved this issue by:
1. Adjust your sit position so that you can firmly apply a force on the gas pedal. 2. Align your foot perfectly with the pedal and use your heel as a pivot. 3. Flashed a BM3 CS ECU and GTS TCU problem has never occurred since then |

If you can't tell the difference between the car not running right and TCS intervening then none of us can help you. Go get it checked out

Sport plus throttle is coded for high RPM driving on a race track, not launches or driving off from a dead start. You can, but as others have said careful tip in usually required to avoid jerkiness.

"Roll" onto the throttle. You have to be very smooth and consistent with the inputs or you will get the bucking bronco from the DCT.

2018 F80 Competition 6MT owner here. My car is on the stock tune, and if I'm not very judicious with throttle application when starting out from rest in Sport Plus engine mode, I get the same bucking phenomenon described here. I've concluded that when driving 'around town', Sport mode is the happy medium. If I am cruising and want to take the car closer to 10/10, Sport Plus is the ticket.
