Clunking Noise after installing Eibach Springs

Bit if a weird question here..

I installed Eibach V1’s on Saturday and took it for a ride in the parking lot to make sure everything was good. I started to hear a clunking noise when going over sharp speed bumps.

Checked to make sure everything was tight, and drove it again. It still made the same noise. I didn’t have time to redo them, so I decided to drive it home this way.

After the drive home (mostly highway) the noise completely disappeared and hasn’t come back since.

Wanted to jump on here and ask some opinions on what this could’ve been? Definitely was kicking myself for thinking something was wrong, but it seems to have fixed itself?

With my F82 I installed Some pretty stiff Coilovers and I have the same exact noise. At first i thought something was broken since it hear it a lot more at lower speeds but what Ive been reading online is that it could be from over tightening the bolts. But I will be taking it to the performance shop i usually let them do for difficult upgrades to check it out but they also said the same thing about bolts being too tight.

On two different cars I've had clunking noises following lowering spring installs for two different reasons. On one, I did not adequately tighten the nut holding the 'top hat' upper mount to the strut. On the other, the spring coils were binding on themselves when the wheel was turned and the suspension was compressed (e.g. turning into a parking lot with a steep transition from the road).

I have had no issues since installing Eibach v1 Euro spec springs on my F80, but one thing that comes to mind is to double check that the front sway bar endlinks are properly torqued.

Realize that everything may have been tightened...but what about how the springs sit within the rubber boots, where they pushed all the way over to the stop? I can see a couple bumps working this out if they were not seated correctly on install.

I did not have any noises on my V2 intall...but that was 3 years ago.

No issues with mine either, going on 5 years now.
