If those are the 18s, that would be a no-brainer.

I might actually have to keep those on the car for once.

Wheel offset/sizes

Will there be a 18" option in the car? Do we know the offsets?

I'm a bit worried UK guide had no 18" wheels as an option. I have extra set of winter wheels that will go waste from the current M3 if they don't work with the new car

18s are standard but they have not released images of what they look like. Should come out with the order guide.

Do you think we'll know the offsets before ordering or do we need to wait for people to take delivery of their cars?

Just noticed you are in the UK, so my comment about 18s might not apply for your market. The information in this thread is the most I've seen on UK options but doesn't reference 18s.

Have not seen any information on wheel specs but hope to see those before we order.

So if 18s are not available in Canada and UK, what makes you think they will be available in US? Do you think CCBs will fit with 18s?

From US Dealer Launch Vehicle Order Guide, "2NK requires ordering 2VY or 2VZ." In other words CCBs require 19" wheels. Both 19" wheels are listed as options, therefore 18s will be offered. Also, 18s are listed as stock here: http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...78&postcount=1. Given that we've seen many test cars with E9X wheels, I expect the offsets will be close, if not identical.

What a bummer. I would of really been glad. Not a huge fan of the 19s in black but if the 18s on the m4 look like the ones on the m235i I will definetly have to get the 19s. I also wish you could have the brake caliper painted instead of blue

If those v-spokes are the 18" option, guess that's the way I'm going.

Can someone please clarify the wheel sizes?

There is so much misinformation (or lack of information) floating around. Does the car support 18" wheels? Can you have 18" wheels with and without CCBs? Also when can we find out the true offset sizes so we know if our wheels from the current M3 will work with the car?

  • Yes!
  • Not with CCB's.
  • The current wheels will work.

Do you know the offsets of the new wheels? I think the new silver/black wheels would look good on the 1M.

No figures have been stated officially, but based on how inset the wheels are, I'd wager that the offsets are the same or very similar to E9X wheels.

For anybody wondering about what 18 inch wheels look like, check out Belgian configurator.

They look horrible.
