The whole time I'm watching the video I'm thinking "this is like car porn." Then I scroll down and see ultra close-ups of the inside of the muffler and I felt a little dirty

Pray tell, how does an engine, especially in today's plastic cladding, look "aggressive"?

It does a bit despite the plastic cover.

Gorgeous videos. As has been noted in many threads, the F80 projects a more muscular image over the F82. It reminds us of the early roots to M cars as high performance sedans.

Still gotta see it in person first I guess. Buddy has a 4 series and the side profile looks long and kinda bland to me. Seeing the same here on the coupe

Black coupe Wins

The black M4 coupe wins out of the three cars in the videos.

I drive a 3 M-sport so I'm slightly bias towards the saloon but if I'm totally honest the coupe is better looking. Still the M3 is the best looking saloon car in the world though.

negatives, the none carbon ceramic brake calipers look small on the m3 in the front, and sucks for the m5 and m6, the rear brake calipers on look great. also another negative the the driver gages looks so ugly and cheap

Jag just announced £10k price reduction and spec changes for XK won't be long till. BMW will be discounting the M3/4 in UK as asking too much for this car. M cars seem to suffer drastic depreciation in UK. Only exception 1M and M3CSL.

You know, the one good thing that will come out of this new M3/M4 nomenclature is that now that the only remaining M3 is a sedan, we won't have to wonder every model change if they will continue making an M3 sedan - they pretty much have to now!

Any intelligence on brake ducting? The past two generations have had them blocked - as in the case of my E90 where the underbody trim even eliminates them. I can't see from any of the undercar photos any plastic pieces or spoilers that direct air to the brakes, a la Porsche. It would be a nice feature for brake pad life on-track.

This isn't true on the E46 M3. Inside the fender there is a little plate you can pop out, but the plate is already vented to allow airflow to hit the back of the brakes. I assume the F8x cars will also include something similiar.

Dont know if this has been posted already, anyhow...
Acc to Topgear BMW do not have any plans to make a CSL-version or similar track-focused version of the M3/M4,

All of your posts are negative about this car, stop comparing it to the csl. Out with the old and in with the new, opinions are like... Well you know the rest. Turbo 6 is never going to sound like a v8 so people get over it. In return you get a lighter more agile car that will beat that pants of the e92 m. Turbo engines are not for everyone, z06 and Shelby are available if you want the roar (even thought I will be getting the z06 as well most likely). The blind hate is crazy to me, let the car get in production and have BMW workout the kinks of engine and exhaust sound (even though I am sure people that have made up their mind already it won't make a difference).

Is shadowline trim color and not body type dependent this time? I was looking at my Mineral Gray order and it specifies shadowline, but Black Sapphire doesn't appear to include it - sort of odd.

EDIT: The Sapphire paint might just be more reflective and obscure the shadowline trim in the pics.
