Still the best looking F80 shots thus far, and that is coming from somebody who does not care for white cars. Looks phenomenal in that first shot.

I saw mineral white 3 series coming from the opposite side of the freeway last weekend.
It was around 11am so there was direct sunshine reflecting on that car. I wasn't impressed with the color due to strong its pearl effect under the sun. |

I keep circling back to this picture and cant stop staring. I am about two seconds away from changing my order to an M3 from the M4. I very much wanted to have my own dedicated toy since this will be a third car for the family with an SUV and Winter Commuter already in the garage. The M4 was doable but the M3 is the more logical choice with two small kids and the fact that I entertain clients as part of my business. This was my reasoning early on but SOB that M3 in White looks soooo good!
I saw these cars in the Philly show with a Black M3 next to the yellow M4 and found myself just staring at the M3 more. In the end the message in my head now is the M3 is both the best fit and best look for this car. Maybe I will change my mind in 2-3 years but I do plan to change cars when the ZCP and LCI upgraded model is out and can always get the M4 once I see and drive them in person. Should I do it? |

Mineral White M3
Arrived at local dealer today. This is pretty much my exact build which goes into production in week 29 (this one is already sold)!
Pictures don't show, but the black 19's are darker in person. Very cool. Mineral white looks fantastic. Got to sit in the car and start it up. Sounds sick. You really cant appreciate it until you hear it in person. I was planning on an aftermarket exhaust...but now I'm not so sure. My client advisor took these snaps... |

Found this at my local dealer.
Cloth seats and sunroof But the color was super impressive in person! Oh and those of you interested in buying the car, it is for sale. For a whopping 200,000$. Welcome to Finland. God bless America.

[F80] Official MINERAL WHITE F80 M3 Sedan Thread
First off, like others have mentioned before, pictures do not do the car justice. I have seen lots of pictures of these cars... but to my eyes it simply looks stunning in person.
I originally tried to switch the color from MW to AW but I was too late, it was already going into production... I have no regrets now. Looks great with the SO interior and the black rims. Wouldn't change a thing. I'm not going to comment on the things that so many others have commented on before... (amazing torque, nice steering, freakin' fantastic seats, loving the sound). On the manual transmission... I really like it. Shifting is nice and precise. I wouldn't say the throws are short however. True, it's shorter than other BMWs that I have driven, but I wouldn't necessarily call it short. It's all relative, I guess, but compared to, say, a Mazda Miata the throws are not short. The clutch is nice, it's a bit firm but not too firm. The amount of travel to go from "not engaged" to "fully engaged" is just perfect IMO, however it does start to engage pretty far out. I have only two complaints so far: 1) The turn signal lever is too sensitive... on the freeway I would nudge it to turn off the signal after changing lanes and instead I'd flip the signal to the opposite side. You have to hit it just right in order to turn if off (update: I was confused by the 3-signal feature... it works great, no complaints) 2) The autoblipping makes no sense in comfort mode. It can blip pretty loudly and it defeats the purpose of being in comfort mode to begin with. There should be an option for this. Or at the very least have it enabled in sport mode only (off in comfort and sport plus?) What an amazing car! Some obligatory pictures: |

[F80] Official MINERAL WHITE F80 M3 Sedan Thread
Picked up my F80 M3 last Saturday. Sorry, it hasn't been properly cleaned or detailed and these are some quickie snaps in the parking garage at work. Pretty grainy due to me forgetting to reduce the auto ISO. FAIL!
oh well. Enjoy. I love the way the metallic flakes in Mineral White emphasize the curves on the F80 M3, such as the fender flares, etc. Sorry for the huge pics for those of you on mobile. |

[F80] Official MINERAL WHITE F80 M3 Sedan Thread
Takeaways:
- Everything I was worried about configuration wise is gone the moment you roll forward - Throttle blipping is a dream - Gas mileage isn't anywhere near 24, but I have also been pushing the break-in limits - Passive suspension is a little rough but tolerable - iDrive is driving me crazy with random muting of guidance, not allowing me to use pandora/spotify on USB mode - Seats are incredibly comfortable and tons of space in back Here are some pics from the day I picked it up right after I clay-barred/sealed/wax her, slapped on a new grill, and got her tinted. More to follow. |

did you notice any factory tint or reflective properties at all prior to tinting? |

I used 3M color stable 20%. I did not notice any reflective property whatsoever, and I am currently in Tx so my second stop after the house to detail it was to the tint shop. I am totally happy with it!
