For me, it will be nice to have power seats after living with my 330i for 14+ years with manual seats. I can do without the butt warmers though.

Let's be honest here, we're talking about up-market cars. No xenons, manual seats (..for which I don't really mind because at least my 11.5 M3 retained power lumbar and power side bolsters when BMW removed power seats as standard), etc. would lead to nothing but complaints amongst the forum population. The 'bare bones' car should be available, yes, but I don't believe that it should be the standard.

If thats the case then it makes the decision to pass on it much easier.

The military pricing guide had it listed, but I'm not sure how accurate it is

20-way m sport seat.... how does it come? I only saw 10-way here, or 14 if you count lumbar support.

Highly doubt about 10 inch screen. From pics there's no difference between the regular f30.

Gas guzzler tax is usually allotted to cars with average mpg under 22.5. Neither of these cars will come close to that.

I really despise all auto makers packaging of options. I would in no way want nav, pdc or a back up camera. I know how to use a map, and I certainly do not need pdc or a friggin back up camera in a mid sized sedan. It's a smallish car, not a damn 40' motor home.

FULL is the high dollar option. EXTENDED is the lower cost option that is standard with the Executive Package.

This list is what BMWNA is going to make standard on the US cars. What we in the States get as standard is often times a lot more than what Europe gets as standard. And I am assuming that the weight BMW posted was what comes as standard in the car for Germany. A perfect example of BMWNA adding options as standard and therefore weight to a car is the M235i.

The base price of the car has risen but BMW is including a lot more standard equipment, so all in all the price increase really isn't that great. I mean Nav alone was a $2100 option, deduct this from the base price and it really represents itself quite well.

I'm surprised they call the extended leather "full leather" since there is no leather on the bottom door panels, center console, nor the seat backs. These are wrapped in full leather in m5/6 models.

It may appear to be a substantial increase in price until you really look at what you are getting in comparison

No M3 have come with Alcantara headliner from factory, including Individual, as in ever. Furthermore, other countries M3/M4 configurators and pricing guides do not show "Alcantara" in the "Anthracite Headliner" option.

European equipment lists are already out, and they have even more standard equipment than the us data shows

I think some of the standard features were taken from the M5/M6 sheet...or the intern putting this sheet together needs to be fired. BMW needs to get their act together...

Other than the Nav ($2100) there are still ~$4000 of the M3 price increase unaccounted for. If there is no GGT then ~$2700 would be understandable.

I do not think that these "M Dynamic Dampers" are even real as they were not mentioned even in the official introduction, only M Adaptive Suspension.

Otherwise this is some jacked up price not comparable at all with any other BMW model in the last 5 years.

What was discussed was that BMW is using new names to old options, with some differences to justify the new names.

This new "Extended" Leather is the same "old" Leather option but with a small knee pad on the left side of the center console.

The new "Full" Leather is the "old" Extended option but with leather on top of the dash and on the upper door panels/quarter panels.

The positive note of this is that the "old" prices were kept.

Regardless, they picked a horrible naming convention because it can honestly be thought of either way, without an options guide in front of you.

What are you on about?

The new car has

-standard nav
-powered seats
-heated seats
-hd radio

None of which were standard on the e9x.

Plus, the m3 coupe was like 62k in 2013, so this is not a 6000 dollar price increase as you are insinuating.

The price increase is very small and the standard equipment is much more robust.

Based on the released euro mpg, there will be no ggt

HUD ($1300) and Comfort Access ($1000) can be ordered a la carte, but you need to find a CA that knows how to fill up the paperwork.
