Great post thank you. Quick question - anybody know if that "kicking under the trunk to open it" feature is part of comfort access?

I think it is, but I am not certain. We will find out for sure soon enough. Maybe next week

Ok I have a question... I just realized that I have the heated steering wheel option in my build but I don't see heated seats anywhere as an option; is that standard now and days?

according to the order guide, headed front seats are standard. Heated steering wheel is part of Exec package for M4. Heat steering wheel and heated rear seats are part of Exec package for M3. There is no heated rear seats for M4.

JS919 posted a picture to show how the center console look like for a care equipped with the standard passive suspension.

Thanks Sir Loin, though we had that answer here too, FWIW http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...7&postcount=45 What I am really curious about, though, is what the MDDC display looks like in the gauge cluster for cars with passive suspension. Does it just have empty black space where the suspension setting would normally be? Or is it more polished-looking than that, such as, maybe it still has the suspension section but with no setting listed? Or maybe the engine and steering sections are simply made larger to fill the void? |

No spare tire - tire repair kit included?
An observation from a newbie... saw an M4 at BMW dealer yesterday, confirmed that no spare tire is included... and since the tires are non-runflats (Michelin PSS), I guess BMW felt obliged to include a repair kit / inflation tool as part of the kit provided (under the deck in trunk).
Is this a common practice in M cars? I'm a fan, since you get a little extra storage space without a spare. |

He was saying they anticipate that the rotors should last a lifetime, note no "guarantee" that they will. He stated even with heavy track usage, the pads should last 3-4 years. We'll see. |

You don't, remote locks and unlocks and car starts with push button if you have key in car eg in your pocket. Comfort access only means that you don't have to take the key out of your pocket and instead you touch the door handle ribbed area or waggle foot under rear bumper for the boot (trunk)
