They're not available until 1 March - not to us commoners anyway.

I don't think the general consensus will change regarding tyres for the F8X.

These will likely spin under WOT, but will be the best blend of performance, everyday livability, aquaplane resistance, tread life, etc.

I was hoping for them to compete with the likes of the RE-11 and AD08R's, but I guess we'll have to wait for the next iteration of the PSC2 for that

IMO the PSC2 are not in the same category as the RE11/RE71R and AD08R. The later are all Extreme Performance street tires while the PSC2 is an R-compound tire, meaning it's primary design focus is track use but remains street legal/usable.

Interrestingly, Michelin has stayed away from the Extreme Performance tire category and does not have any offerings in that segment.

so I called Tirerack, and unfortunately they are not carrying or wont carry all the sizes... specifically, they wont have the 295/35 R19 (M01) size - which is for a mercedes application, available, eventhough the michelin site says it should be:

http://www.michelinman.com/US/en/tir...-sport-4s.html

I'm gonna need tires in the next 4-6 weeks, so I'm debating whether or not to go:

MPSS (like now):
265/35 (M0) + 295/35 *

or

P4S:
265/35 + either 285/35 or 295/30, eventhough neither is the best size all things considering.

285/35 R19...

If we are taking the stock 437ms I would stick with the MPSS M0 266 and M5 295...

The best sizes of u do decide to do it would be 255/35 and 285/35

Michelin told me today via on line chat the 295/15/19 not available until October 2017 in USA. Assume the online moderators know what they're talking about, maybe.

I doubt 295/15/19 will ever be available.

FWIW, they are not showing on the European Sites that have other sizes in stock now.

Have you call your local Mercedes Benz Parts Deparment to see if these are available directly from MB (or perhaps they will not be available on MB OEM Models until MY2018).

I didn't call MB. just Michelin. I'll likely try 265/35/19 and 285/35/19s.

295/35/19 was never listed as a launch size, fwiw.

anyone know if the 295/30 ZR20 will fit the ZCP package? wouldn't mind that tiny bit extra rubber. i know the old 295/30 for the M5 should fit it fine - but was looking at setting up a PS4S on all 4 corners

Should be fine. A 295 is designed to fit on a 10-11" rim according to tirerack. Clearance should be fine as I've run 305s on 11s.

Im doing the 295/30/20 4S but on an aftermarket rim which gives 11mm less inner clearance and 15mm less outter clearance than stock.

We need to get the full specs of the tires first to assess what are the benefits of one size vs another and the particular application (front/rear specific wheel width).

The 295/30R20 PSS of the M5 was a perfect fit and provided a decent improvement because it was designed specifically for a 10" wide wheel and has a significantly wider contact than the CP 285/30R20 PSS.

"The PS4S features an aramid/nylon belt that's designed to help the tire maintain its shape under pressure. This stronger belt effectively gives the PS4S a wider contact patch, which is especially helpful in high-speed cornering. A new tread pattern also helps improve grip by distributing pressure more evenly across the contact patch."

To me this would mean as long as the tire is in spec on the rim it should be able to use its contact patch.

yeah, I saw that, but I was hoping for the 295/35 M01 merc one to be available, but looks like it's not.

I'm down to either:
  • MPSS 265/35 MO + 295/35 *spec
  • M P4S 265/35 + 285/35

Well, the patch contact and side wall construction is important obviously, but the main issue I see will be the "bulging" of the sidewalls with a 10" rim. You will definitely get the donut effect, and not sure if that's desirable at all.
