The series map is amazing , actually rather annoyed my car didn't come like this stock. Really don't understand why I payed so much for the car and it didn't drive like this from the beginning. Well worth the ease and the tune. Can't wait for the CD EDC.

Series Map ? Aren't there only 2 Maps?
Road and Track and Clubsport ?
THOR really needs to clarify what these maps are more clearly.....
What does "Series" even stand for ?
Why not just name the Maps .....1) CS and 2) GTS ?

They have , likely due to copy right.

That's true. Actually, two different Maps for BMW M3/M4 and three for BMW M2

And yes, there is a legal reason why we don't have named the Maps GTS or CS.

Series = flash back to stock
Road&Track = CS
Clubsport = GTS
Competition = M2 Competition (M2 only)

If I already got these options coded by another coder via computer, can I still install Thor and go back to stock and reflash?

Hi, yes you can. But you don't have to flash back to series at the first time if you want to try cs or a combination of gts and cs.

Yes. Already have CS coding on my car, but I would also like the ability to flash it myself. When you get the EDC function ready, I will buy the dynamic package since I have a manual F80

I see the Thor Wifi adapter is currently being used for data logging on another Tuning Platform. I forget which one... So does this mean Thor will release their own Datalogging Feature ? It would be amazing if so

Just to be clear, the "series" map that you said is amazing...is just your stock map. Correct?

It's a further development from BMW for the "sportier" CS special models.

So I get the naming thing that Thor are using but I guess what I want to know is.... is the gts "like" coding actually the gts oem coding that everyone else is doing or are your maps self map and your just saying it's similar to a gts?

Does that make sense?

I think the cs edc is actually more comfortable than ZCP. I think the ZCP compression is far tighter giving u less body roll. I think the rebound however is better with the cs which gives u less bounce over bumps.

I think the ZCP edc is better

Any updates on edc coding?

I currently have it coded to CS steering, diff and EDC, but I got it coded by someone else.

Id like to have the options to put it back to stock myself.

Is there actual data that shows compression and rebound for cs versus ZCP edc?

I think cs May be softer.

CS EDC programming is certainly a lot smoother and more planted than ZCP in my experience, that's why I prefer it. I have some really, really rough, bumpy roads around my house and find the CS Sport+ suspension mode to be extremely fun on those roads. With the original ZCP coding, Sport+ was completely worthless. The car would bounce and hop all over the place, constantly losing contact with the pavement, etc. The first time I drove really quickly through one of those roads that I know well after Alex@Alpine coded my suspension to CS, I literally said "WTF" out loud because it was such a welcome improvement.

Is there a difference between the CS DCT tune and the GTS DCT tune? From personal experience, I have found zero difference between the two tunes. Kind of disheartened to know that I spent a few hundred bucks extra for a CS tune when I could have just done the GTS DCT tune from BM3 for free, seeing as I cannot feel any difference between the two
