Hi all,

Well i'm back in another F80 M3. This time around I went with the M3 CS.

I picked up a 2017 M3 Competition when the LCI2 cars dropped, but I didn't quite fall in love with the car. It was too aggressive and felt a bit of a mess to be honest as a daily drive. Lowered on HR springs likely didn't help but something didn't seem right.

Eventually I swapped it out for a 2018 X5M which was a car i'd owned back in 2016, but had returned after issues with the wheel clicking that's wide spread. Move forward to last year and I picked up another X5M and thankfully i've had no issues with my 2018 X5M.

About a year back I had an opportunity to drive an M4 CS for a day. Immediately I knew this was a car I had to own. The differences to the M3 Competition were far more than the stuff bolted onto the car. It was smoother, faster, more compliant, the steering in comfort was actually comfortable - the list goes on.

So when the M3 CS came up and the pricing was announced, I figured i'd wait a little while and see what happened. Move to 2 weeks ago and I bought one at discount. Perfect spec as far as I was concerned. LRG and CCB!

Delivery

Taking the car home

Modding Begins!

Fitted a bunch of M Performance parts along with Carbon side skirts and 10F/12R spacers.

Modding continues

An issue with some carbon caps I ordered meant I fitted a friends BSM mirror caps (he's got carbon caps). Surprisingly, they look ok, though i'll be fitting Carbon caps ASAP.

Australia uses production year instead of model year, correct? I thought all CS were still produced in 2018?

Indeed, the F80 ended production in October 2018, so there is no such thing as a 2019 F80 M3, regardless if it is model year or production year.

Very nice. Surprised to hear it is more compliant than the CPT but I assume it has the latest revisions to the suspension.

Absolutely loving this car. I've truly never been as excited about a car before.

Fixed the 2018/19 year in the description also.

Now... sorting out that Akra. Can't decide if I should go with MPE though and save $.
