Swung by Essex Racing Parts/AP Racing USA to help them R&D a street variant (red calipers) of their already successful Radical competition kit (hard anodized grey)
Super friendly and very knowledgeable about their products. We got into the depth of their Radical caliper design/features and before i knew it i was loading up their Radical competition kit in the trunk... |

They actually sent me a standard GT4 wing at first but i specifically told them what i wanted the first time so they corrected it after some waiting. The standard GT4 tabs under the wing are spaced out 4" wider than GTS tabs. The GT4 tabs do not work with GTS uprights because of the angle and holes not lining up. GT4 uprights are similar to GTS uprights in that they both brace directly to the trunk hinges but GT4 uprights require huge slits cut into the trunk and since i daily drive the car I didn't want to risk water getting in to there so i opted for the GTS mounting hardware instead. Benefit to this is if i ever get tired of the GT4 look (which i doubt i will) i can choose any GTS wing/upright combo and swap it out. |

Amazing! Temps were a bit cold but turbos are definitely a must for this platform. They just kept pulling. At no point did it feel like it topped out. I definitely didn't push it as hard as i wanted to.
Once i get the built motor in there and that other mod we talked about it'll be ready for a good beating early spring! |

Yes all the aeros helps BIG time! Driving it on the track you feel like you can brake less because it you feel less lateral g forces in the corner. Also when going down the back straight on VIR it's basically a hill then it crests and drops down suddenly before climbing again. Im used to feeling a sense of weightlessness when this happens but with the aeros it felt like i was suctioned to the road when it crested the hill. Crazy....
