I think of the smaller wheel as the optional one for these cars since the upsized wheels seem to get the higher take rate. So I was thinking 18s. However, it occurs to me that with brake size apparently increasing, 18s may no longer fit. So perhaps there will only be 19s. I don't expect 20s but I suppose it is possible. There are M-Performance 20s for the F30 after all.

Either way, there's always the upcoming ZCP wheel in 2017
Funny but likely true. Or maybe the GC will bring a new wheel, though that does not appear to be the case with the M6.

This isn't a tease, it's standard operating procedure. Early test mules are always camouflaged from every manufacturer and typically do not sport the final production parts and design.

Doesn't seem like it will be dramatically different in looks compared to the E92 (at least not as much as the change from E36 - E46, E46 - E92). Also looks oddly like a Mustang from some angles, but hell you can't tell much from a fully camo'd car. Agree with swamp and others that the exhaust looks like shit if they keep the giant can (along with the other piping hiding above it.)

Also, M is working with AG closer to the start of development rather the completion point so M cars can come to market sooner, like AMG. The F80 is rumored to nearly be complete and many of those parts just needed minor tweaks to work with the F82 (Styling and sheet metal aside).

All true, but as I pointed out earlier, with no F32 until mid to late 2013, the ///M version needs a bit of time after that intro to debut. So 2014 must still be considered the most legitimate timeframe. Same situation occurred with the F10 M5 and F12/13 M6.

Obvious that it's a inline 6. It has the same crappy muffler configuration and routing as the e46 M3.

Well, 4 is pronounced "fear" in German, so there is that. I would have never bought an E92 always preferring the E90 and from the looks of it, the F80 will look better than the F82 also.

No disrespect to the n54 (it's a modern marvel), but I'm going to laugh if the n55 is optimized to outperform the n54 in vehicles like the 1er m coupe etc. Maybe all the die hard n54 lovers that constantly talk smack about the n55 will realize why BMW made the switch and leave it alone.

So this was the car under the tarp.

The rims match.

I wish I could've seen it without the camo.

I read in an English motoring mag that BMW were going to call the coupé and the vert the '4 series' and the 3 series will carry on being the 4 door saloon and 5 door estate.

This was something to do with Audi having an A4 for the 4/5 doors and an A5 for the 2 door versions.

So if this is true you will be driving a 4 series if you want another 2 door BMW whether you like it or not!
