I changed my order to the silver/gray wheels as I think the black wheels would look not great with Sparkling black. The black 19's are standard in Canada.

I like swimming against the tide. Good job, as I actually like the two-tone black wheels, and have specc'd them with black saphire paint and black leather seats and carbon fibre trim. Slightly concerned that I might have over-pimped this slightly.......

I'm still waiting on someone to give the offsets so I can decide if the BBS FI' wheels will fit this car.

Too bad BMW doesn't offer the ZCP as an option. Hate all of the current wheel choices.

Thinking of doing the same.. Can you get it done the same day? I read somewhere you have to let the paint settle for a week or something along those lines.. and how much will it cost? ~$500-1000?

I checked my local powder coat specialist here in Virginia and he said 2 days total down time for the wheels. 1 day to prep and bake, 1 day to clean them up and remove excess coating. The tires have to be off before bringing the wheels in though. Price was $90 a wheel for any color on their pallet.

Powdercoat is just fine once baked on. I'm guessing that it'll be about $100 a wheel, maybe a lil less. I don't think I've ever paid over $400 to have a set of wheels powdercoated (..back when I actually used to PC wheels). |

Oh yeah! Sounds sexy. I am going to take mine and get them matte gunmetal and then maybe change the calipers to fluro yellow or fluro green.

Since powder coat is plastic, I'm not sure it will stand up to brake heat?

Why dont you guys just plastidip them? It's way too much work to get the tires off the wheels, wait that long, and it costs a ton of money too (you'll need to rebalance tires, etc).

Plasti-dip is the stuff of half-measures if I must be honest. Do it right and powder coat the wheels. It's not that much of an inconvenience.
