So they have the cars unlocked at the Houston show? I was at the NAIAS in Detroit last Saturday; the one M3 and two M4's there were locked down tight...
Too bad, BMW can probably make it up if they also have the cars at the Dallas show unlocked, but at this point, I've pretty much made up my mind that I will just get the new C-Class (which I was able to thoroughly check out at NAIAS) later this year. |

Why didn't BMW make the black plastic on the side mirrors nice and shiny? My finish on my 1er has, like, a gloss finish to it. These look like there's no finish to them, just plain plastic, looks cheap to me... Great looking cars though

Photos
Some of the photo taking at these shows is atrocious. These are particularly terrible.

More Pics
As requested, here are some more pictures of the M3/M4. Both cars were fully open for the spectators to examine. The only locked up BMW model in Houston was the i3. As Kenny has stated, the seats are great. They were the most comfortable seats that I sat in out of all the cars at the show. It almost ruined my ride home in my E90M LCI. I had reservation with the M seat badge, but I couldn't feel it as it didn't come in contact with my back. Now if it heats up in the sun, it may be an issue. Hopefully, the BMW designers accounted for this. The one thing lacking in the seats are the adjustable thigh support. Both cars were fitted with carbon ceramic brakes.
***Disclaimer*** I'm not a professional photographer and I didn't stay at a Holiday Inn Express.

Lighting is poor at the shows, it's not natural lighting. Most importantly is getting the picture so quickly when there isn't 100 people around the car or in it, that is the biggest challenge of all and try not to be rude to others trying to look at the car. How about you actually go to to the show and see if you can fare better. |
