1 week followup: How are you liking the new height/ride now that you've been able to get some miles on it?

Still 100% satisfied and happy with my purchase. I have a route I drive every day with some violent dips/bumps and even with the new lowered height, it takes the bumps just like it did when the car was stock. In fact, I actually think it takes the bumps better now for some reason.

I also really notice an improvement in high speed turns. The car in general just feels more planted and stable.

Just put these springs on. Have pics posted in the photos section. Would recommended them thusfar but only day 2.

I just ordered a set of these Macht Schnell springs from EAS and getting them installed next Wednesday. I assumed in lowering the car I would also have an alignment done, but then I read of some people not getting an alignment following the install saying it wasn't necessary for their car. I am sure the safe route and proper route is to have it aligned and that is probably what I will do, but I wanted some insight on what others have experienced. If I can save $250 of course I would want to. Kevin could you also chime in if you are reading this? Thanks, any info is appreciated

I am guessing that once installed the height is not adjustable, right? I am looking for a set of springs that lower only the front about 1.5 to 2 centimer but that barely drops the rear. And that does not affect the EDC nor Adaptive M-suspension. From what I have been reading the KW HAS is the way to go. What I like about the set in this thread is that they are black like the stock ones while KW HAS is in bright yellow.

HAS users are not making routine adjustments, usually set it and forget it.

The Macht Schnell Competition Springs have the perfect combo of height/ride, it's pretty much all we're installing/shipping lately and plays well with M-Adaptive/EDC setups.

That is how newer BMW are setup. Look at the stock heights of all new BMW's. The rear is lower than the front. You don't want to mess with the rake even though it might not be the worst thing to mess with handling wise.

So are these just a re-badged spring from a major manufacturer? Why would someone buy these over one of the long time trusted spring manufacturers like Swift, EiBach, H&R, etc??

M-Adaptive dampening is user defined via the interior button. The MS springs are compatible with both M-Adaptive and standard setups.

If someone is local in your area with a set installed, get a ride beforehand.

And how about these springs in combination with wheel spacers and the OEM 19" 437M black wheels? Are 12mm spacers used on the pictured AW F82 a couple of posts higher?

I have no skin the game for these springs, but to answer your question about the other brands...

Swift just landed on US shores and is pretty much already sold out.
Eibach is still internally arguing about how to botch their US rollout even more.
H&R rides like sh*t.
