I've had 3 black cars. I'll never own another again. Too much work involved to keep it clean. You can cut out a good chunk of the work load if you ppf or do a ceramic coat.
I have Silverstone now and it requires almost no upkeep.

Two cars, both black. Not bothered by the maintenance because I don't need it to be sparkly all the time. I wash once every 2-3 weeks in CA and love the look when it's clean but also love them when dirty. If you're going to be bothered by it dirty then def get a lighter color! Easy peesy
PS black is the best PPS after having a car with carbon ceramic brakes I think that is a HUGE diff as I do find the wheels so bad when they get grey from brake dust which doesn't happen on the rs6

BSM, or that really dark blue (forget the name) is much nicer looking to me. I regretted getting MW pretty soon after. The paint matching is an issue and not every body shop can do it well. Thankfully living in LA/OC there’s at least one great shop that can handle it. This is one of the reasons I haven’t gotten a gts hood yet.

I love my Sapphire black M4. Maintanance is crazy simple. I never polish it, never wax it, i can use a sponge or microfiber wash glove or whatever, i never get any scratches anywhere. No marks from stonechips, bird poo or anything.
IF there would be a scratch on the surface i just pour hot water on it and it heales by itself. So wrap your black car with self healing PPF, it's worth it . |

Agree 1000%. I wipe down my wheels after every 2 or 3 drives. The brake dust is horrendous. |
